Geneva Roth Financial..and Smith, Hayes and Watson
Date: Mon, 10/02/2006 - 06:41
I had a 300$ loan with Geneva Roth Financial that I defaulted on. The finance fee was 90$, which was all that I ever paid (over a number of pay periods, so I'm sure I more than paid the loan back). I settled with this law firm for 3 payments of $ 160 each payday.
My questions...
1) I made a payment arrangement to change my second payment, which they didn't follow and debited my account for the 2 final payments (an issue I'm addressing with them)
2) Has anyone dealt with them before? I have seen numerous people who have said they have gotten refunds for interest over payments and what not. I don't know if they were licensed in MD (where I live) or not, or if I could have fought this and not paid. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
