Has anyone ever gotten a refund from PaydayOK?

I sent then the letter and the closed my account saying my obligation was satisfied, but the more I look at it I have paid them over 2750.00 in interest and 600.00 on principal on a 500.00 loan. Should I send a request to them for a refung of part of this?

Thanks,

Clara

I sent the letter out on Friday 9-29-2006 and on Tuesday 10-3-06 they sent me the email regarding closing my account and considering my obligation satisfied.

When I go check the website, it shows where they closed my account and it had a zero balance and then on the same day it shows open again and it is deliquent. I just faxed them another letter asking them to correct this as per their email and also for a refund of 1000.00 in excess interest paid to them.

Keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer for me, I really need the money.

dbaker6: thank you.

Also I talked to one of my storefront PDL companies and they are very eager to work with me, and are only asking for 25.00 a paycheck. I cried like a baby on the phone with them.

I just sent them a letter stating the fact on how much I had paid in interest and in principal and looking at it was grossly sick at how much I had paid. 2700.00 plus in interest and 600.00 in princpal on a orignal loan amount of 500.00. i stated that this more than genersouly paid back any amount borrowed and requested a refund of 1000.00. Come on that still leaves 1700.00 and 600.00 that they made off me. Hopefully this will work.

I have heard a few people getting a 'paid in full' letter from Payday OK. Some have even got refunds. Here is one link about them.

Revise your state laws for the legal charges and interests. Mention the point that you have paid more than your state allows and want to claim for a refund. Let's see how it goes.

Hi Clara, Keep us posted about your deal w/ Payday OK. I am from Nevada too and I want to know if they will let you get away with it. Thanks

I have not heard anything from PayDayOk, however, now when I try and log on to the web site to check my account, my log on is not restricted and can't. I was going to shoot off another letter letting them know that I do expect a response to my request for a refund.

I sent PayDayOK a letter last night stating that I had not heard from the regarding my 10-5-06 letter requesting a refund. I gave them the amounts I had paid and that the refund was just a small portion of what I had grossly overpaid them, and that if I did not get a refund and correspondense in regard to the refund in 24 hours, I will be forced to file a complaint with the AGs office. I had not yet filed a complaint on this company as they had been so eager to cancel my loan.

You may also want to send it certified with return receipt requested. This way you will have proof that they received it. I always believed this was stronger than an e-mail or fax. It's good to do it those ways as well but the certified is a little bit stronger in my opinion. You will have to keep after them. It took me several months to get a refund from a lender who I had overpaid but I never got the full amount back. I was happy to get the refund though.

Ok today I finally got an email response from Paydayok regarding the refund I have requested. They said that they have marked my loan paid but would not be able to comply with my request for a refund. Sadly I have paid them 3300.00 on a 500.00 loan. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do next. I am only asking for a 1000.00 refund.

Earlier in this forum I told on how I put stop payments on Geneva Roth and Zurich, and sent letters to them. Well the first one for Geneva was returned to them and I have not heard anything from them. But today I checked the bank and they put one through for 89.99, .01 less than the original 90.00. It is still in a pending status and when I talked to the bank they checked to make sure that there is a block on this company no matter what the amount is and she was pretty sure that it will be returned to them at the end on the day. Should I send them another letter?

Threatening them with a complaint to the AG's office a lot of times is all it takes. If they don't get in touch with you, keep sending them follow-up letters. There was a collection agency, LTS Management Services, that had sent me an e-mail, and the lady who sent it had her e-mail address under it. When I went to try to send an e-mail, it was blocked. I then sent a template letter, and I got a response from someone higher up in the company. So keep trying. You definitely have a right to at least what you're requesting.

I received an email on Friday that Paydayok has considered my account closed and paid in full but they would not be able to process my request for a refund of 1000.00. So is my next step to file a complaint with the AG's office and let them know?

well I have paid them in excess of 3300.00 ( I know don't get sick) on a loan of 500.00. I am only requesting a refund of 1000.00, leaving them a hugh profit of 2300.00 plus. i don't think this is too unreasonable. I just sent them a letter letting them know that as of today I had not filed any complaints due to the great working relationship we had, but today a formal complaint was filed with the AG of Nevada and a complaint will be filed with the Financial Division for Nevada as well as Delware where they are licensed. I also told them that I would be willing to resend the complaints once the refund for 1000.00 was received.

Clara I would continue to bug them for the refund and bug them everyday if you have to. And don't wait to file that complaint with the AG's office, just do it, even if they gave you a refund they still need to be reported, if enough people complain it sends red flags and an investigation will ensue against the companies.

i am thinking of getting the assistance of Langhorne Law out of Pennsylvania to help me pay off my pdl's. So far I have $2,397.39 in principal owed for 10 PDL's. Does anyone have experience with this firm?

I just got a call from Nevada's Attorney General's office, and they said because these were on the internet they have no juridiction (sorry for the spelling) over them. He wished they did, he suggested that I file a complaint with the state they have their address with.

Clara, I would do what they said, go ahead and file a complaint with the state they claim to be located in. I found out with one of my internet pdls that they weren't even licensed in the state they listed they were in in the contract. I wouldn't be surprised if this is true in your case, even if they are, still, file that complaint.

jpeete,
I received a call today from Langhorne Law office and we were discussing my situation. I have 7 internet pdls that total around $2000. I explained to them that I can't keep letting these lenders debit my bank account every payday, so as of today, I closed my bank account and opened a new one. Langhorne's Law office explained to me in detail what they can do for me and it sounds hopeful so I think I might give them a shot :D

Platinum B Services had taken out $1895 on a $300 loan from my bank for like 7 months. When i called them, they said i have to let them know that i want to paid it off otherwise it'll automatically extend until who knows when. I told them fine, my attorney will contact them, they put me on hold then a few minutes later, she the customer service said Ok, you account is marked paid in full. This morning 10/16-06 i sent them an email asking for a refund, Dustin from Platinum B Services sent me an email back saying that his company actually did me a favor, they were informed that i'm filing a bankruptcy that's why they marked my account paidoff. What a big fat liar. Did anyone here got any luck asking a refund from them??? I've already filed with my AG office. I'm trying to get a refund from Unted CAsh Loan too, paying $2895 on a $850 loan. If anyone here have the same problem or know how to deal with them please give me some advice. I really needed the money. I live in the state of California. Thanks guys.

They are illegal in CA. You need to file a complaint against them with the AG's office and in your complaint state you want a refund. I read in the press release on Sept. 8th that CA was making some internet pdls refund many of the consumers. Also send them a settlement letter demanding a refund and state you filed with the AG's office and bombard them with this letter everyday.

United Cash Loans
3531 P Street NW
Miami, OK 74355
Telephone 800-230-9480

United Cash Loans is associated with Rio Resources.
They have run to an Indian reservation to try and escape the law. Low and behold I have read somewhere here in the forums that federal law exceeds Indian law. Just a matter of time before they are caught.
