Hi - I registered the other day and consumer credit counseling of america called me and set up my account with Richard Brennan - Now I am reading all of the complaints about him and I am just sick to my stomach. What am I to do? Is he ok for this?

I too have just set up an account with Richard Brennan and have the same fears you do irish51cc. They subtracted their first payment a week ago and still I had heard nothing. Yesterday I called and spoke with a woman who after 5 very stressful minutes finally found all of my information. She said that by next week they should have input all the info into their systems and that I would be receiving a call. In the meantime I have been contacting my various companies and giving them contact numbers for consumer credit counseling so that they know I am in a debt settlement program. good luck!

Thank you for responding. I am just starting to get a lot of my info together and I an so ashamed and embarassed to have gotten into this mess! I did talk to someone today at Consumer credit counseling and she told me that it would take about a week to get everything in motion. I hope so! I can't afford to have funds taken out of my account at this point in time and I can't afford to stop payment.

The best thing is to be watchful on your account when you hire any professional program. There are people complaining against R&B here but the information given is also limited. I will be watchful on my account opened with a settlement company. If things don't seem right, you are always free to cancel before getting scammed. Be proactive.

Irish, Check with the BBB and see how many complaints they have and if they have been resolved. It pays to become informed. KYSIDE38
