Do a search on them in the google bar. You will read many others dealing with this CA. Many here have expressed their concerns working with this CA. Be aware of your rights as mentioned in the FDCPA. All collectors are obligated to remain within the legal, permissible lines.

Good luck dealing with Palisades. They are reporting negative info on my CR when I'm not even paying them anymore, I'm paying an attorney. When I call Palisades they told me they are allowed to do that.

Did you verify the actual reason why is Palisades reporting on your credit? If they have your file with legit info, their reporting will sound authorized. Otherwise, they have no reasons to hit your credit and violate the FCRA. You can sue them in the court for doing any illegal activity in your credit reporting.

When I called Palisades they told me that even though the attorney is collecting on the account they are the "owners" of the account and they can report on the CR. The payments aren't made specificaly on the 13th of the month but every month the attorney gets my payment and they have no porblem with that but Palisades is reporting that it is not on time every month.

I just thought of something though, if the attorney bought the carge-off for X amount of dollars wouldn't that make them the owner now?
