No they will not send the FBI after you. This is a typical threat from these online lenders. They think threatening people will make them pay. How much have you paid them? What state are you in? In some states, pdls are illegal.

The first thing that you will be asked here is what state you are in. PDL's are illegal in a lot of states. The people here on this forum can help a lot on helping you to head in the right direction. I had 6 PDL's (I'm in NC so they are illegal) and so far have gotten a total of 3 off my back with one of them sending a refund. (Am working on the second refund from one of them) and am still dealing with 3 although one of those did not debit my account this past week but has threatened me with collections. Take the time to read the posts here and you will find out all the ways that these companies will try to scare you into paying more and just arm yourself with the knowledge and no the FBI will not come after you.
Now take a nice deep breath and know that you are in good hands here. Good luck.
Don't worry!! You will NOT get into any legal troules, I promise
Don't worry!! You will NOT get into any legal troules, I promise you! They are trying to strong-arm you.
There will be no criminal charges and they won't sue you..They're unlicensed, so no judge in the world would rule in their favor. Really, all they can do is use a wage assignment against you, which is completely voluntary and you can revoke it. All you need to do is send them a letter with your account number or ssn stating that as of this date you no longer authorize mycashnow to employ a wage assignment against you. You also need to give a letter to payroll, saying the same thing.
I would call them and make some payment arrangements, people default on these loans daily, and it's not a crime..Don't let them scare you.

I had a loan from my cash now I told them I was working with the AG and DOC and they have left me alone for now at least.. call Credit Protecion ( their Collection Dept) and talk to the Manager Craig tell him the state you are in and that they are illegal in your state.. and work it out they seem to be easy to work with.. But no jail no arrest.. Really

Keep this e-mail as evidence of them using illegal collection tactics, otherwise known as extortion. Just by merely stating you could possibly face criminal charges and throwing the FBI into the mix is an attempt to extort money from you by using fear. THAT IS ILLEGAL. File a complaint with the FTC and your AG's office giving them a copy of this e-mail correspondence.

I live in Kentucky. Will that be a problem? I have decided to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. I will not have a job after May so I need to get everything settled as soon as possible.
Living in KY won't be a problem. Make sure to include every one
Living in KY won't be a problem. Make sure to include every one of these pdl companies in your Chpt. 7, and if they continue to harass you, sue the living crap out of them.

The email that you got was probably a generic one that they send to everyone who defaults, so I wouldn't worry about it. I would definately figure out how much you owe (principal plus legal interest rate in your state) and call them to propose payment arrangements you can deal with. If they won't accept that, sue them.
