I have a creditor that I enrolled in a debt management program along with others. Anyway, the miniumum payment prior to the dmp was high because of late payments. Since then the minimum payment has gotten down to something more affordable. Will it hurt if I remove this creditor from the program and continue to pay them directly??

The payment that you are finding is affordable is because of your dmp company did the negotiations with your creditors. If you get this account removed from the program, the DMP company might charge a fee because they already rendered their services in getting a lower payment plan with your creditor. You need to talk to the DMP company and know about the deal.

The creditor is Dell Financial and according to Dell financial they do not accept proposals from debt managment companies but they will accept their payments. My dmp also stated that Dell did not accept their proposal however they accept payments from them.

My question is I know that all of this is recorded in my credit report now but will it harm me even more if I remove dell from the program?
