Anyone heard of SHW RECOVERY?

I just also had $287.50 withdrawn from my bank account. I called my bank to dispute it. And luckily my bank is processing the dispute. I keep calling the phone number and says all cust serv reps are busy and leave name and number, I did. I just want to get to the bottom of this ASAP.

That is the exact same messege that I got, I have no clue who it is, they don't identify themselves, it just states as you said. I have no clue who it is or why they took the money, my bank said they would refund me if I dispute it, they wanted me to attempt the phone call first. Please let me know who it is if you find out and I will do the same.

Found out who they are.
They are collecting for payday loans one with heritage, I have never had a loan with them so I assume it was for another one and they changed their name and for East side lenders who was paid in full. This is such a headache. My bank is dealing with them now, I called them and told them that I revoked all ach authorization from both of those lenders, their reply was that I did not revoke it from them. I NEVER gave it to them. So I faxed a letter revoking it yesterday.

Just had $379.05 debited from my checking account on last week Friday. I called my bank and they told me to call. I left several messages and called back on today and got customer service who put me on hold and never came back!! I was able to fill out an unauthorized entries form with my bank and they are going to refund me my money. This almost caused my mortgage payment to bounce if it would have come through at the same time. I am frustrated to say the least.

My deduction was for Heritage, which represents Quick Draw Cash. The problem is that they found out my new bank information. If you have had a payday loan, they will not rest, and unfortunately they can do it. Ask for a settlement, they were very nice to me, and knocked 600 off the balance and took installments which you can do through western union.

 this company has taken
$400 from my account for which i never heard
of these people and looked up on line to see
and seen another response. These people
should be charge for doing such thing and be
made responsible to pay return fees.
pissed out.

i work at a bank that this company has hit accounts at. You need to file a dispute with the bank. The company number is not responding to calls. The best option is for your bank to refund the money. you may want to contact your local police station and see what measures can be taken.

on 09/10/2008 this place got into my account and trying to take 400.00 out of my account. First this is fraude to get into someones account without there permission to do so. I will go to my bank today and stop this insane mess. In doing this my house payment wont go through and it takes time for all of this to get cleared up. I do hope this place can be charged with internet fraude depending on where the place is and state, it could be a federal crime takeing peoples funds as this without there permission or knowledge.

I will take what ever means i need to and stop any futher transactions as this again from my account.

I agree the number above i called is a recording. Have no idea how they got my account, when someone gets into your account and takes funds without your permission its fraude.
By the recording these scammers dont want anyone knowing whom they are.

I went to my bank to stop this $400.00 from being taken out, the bank called the above number as well as read all these post, papers were signed to get my funds back, as the bank stated one has to approve of the deductions as well as my permission to take the funds out at which whom ever this is is well aware you dont have my permission touching my account.
Show me where i gave you permission to touch my funds for you cannot. I hope your caught and go to jail over this scam.

Just found out today that they took out $100 from my checking account. I will dispute it with my bank. I am also using Langhorne debt solutions for management/settlement for 8 payday loans. I'll be contacting them, too. I closed my checking account and opened a new one in July. I don't know how they got my account number. I called the number, too. Voice mail that doesn't identify who they are. I had gotten a phone message 2 days ago, ignored it because no info given, just"important message'" call them back. The # left was 866-489-0979. The number on my checking account ACH withdrawal was 800-351-8820. Both take you to the same voice mail.

I just logged into my bank account online to see $250 withdrawn from my account. By a company I've never heard of. Per the other posts, I assume it's an old payday loan. The only problem with that is that I don't have an outstanding loan! I've had payday loans, but paid them off. I'm on hold with my bank right now, but this is going to take forever!! What a pain!!

They just tried to take 211.74 out of my account while I was away too. No idea who these people are and I too have paid up payday loans. Company definitely needs to be sued!

Sounds like it's Smith, Haines and Watson who collect for payday loan companies. I've dealt with them and thank goodness I closed the account I had with the payday loan companies. SHW Recovery don't have my new account number so they can't pull money from it. I would suggest that everyone who's been affected to close out their current account and open a new one.

SHW Recovery is a finance recovery center - dba attorney services. They use tactics that are borderline illegal, but allowed. For eg. they will take debit card information from which ever lender, payday loan, etc. you have on file. Then they will attempt several withdrawals for the owed amount. Since its a debit, if the money isnt' there, it won't go into overdraft, it will simply deny the amount. However, they keep trying several different amounts until one hits. Then they justify it under the original loan account and company - which most likely you agreed to have some kind of "binding arbitrating agreement "- the fine print.
The best thing you can do is cancel your credit card or debit card info. Most banks will refund your money, BUT NOT deal with SHW - they will simply eat the cost. This is why SHW is so successful. Credit Unions however, require a police report to deal with SHW, and they do follow through. SHW understands all this, and understands that most people can't or won't fight it all the way through. Hence, they keep taking your money.
The only sure way that you can get your money back, is by filing a police report, but you will need to provide the written proof of the original amount owed (you can request this by calling your lender or payday loan company), and then the amount that SHW took from your account (most likely it is NOT what you originally agreed to). And if you already had 'payment' options, SHW deductions now become illegal only because the monthly amount you agreed to differs from SHWs.
If you choose to deal with them directly, they won't give you your money back. However, you can make future payment arrangements with them so they don't take large chunks out of your bank account. In the end, REQUEST EVERYTHING IN WRITING!! And let your bank know. FYI - in the future -ONLY get payday loans from CFSA certified companies, you'll save SHW type headaches. Good luck!
They are located out of Kansas City, Missouri.

There might be a potential Class action for this particular violation of the FDCPA. I have contacted attorneys who handles FDCPA in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Their number is 215-745-9800. If you live there and have had this happen to you, I would suggest you call these attorneys.
