statue of limitation

Hi. Which statue of limitation applies?
The debt was made in California where statue of limitation is 4 yrs (which it is expired last year) and I am living in the different state where it is two years longer. Does the statue of limitation depend on current residence no matter where the debt was created?

As per I know, Statute of Limitation solely depends on the state
As per I know, Statute of Limitation solely depends on the state from which you have taken the loan. You may roam through different states or even go abroad, but it will not affect the SOL. In some states there is a provision that the time period for which you remain outside your state, the SOL stops and restarts after you get back to your state again.
You can also go through the entire chart of statute of limitations for different contracts at different states in the following page: -
