That is a pretty hard question to answer. Are you looking for a credit counseling or debt settlement company ? Either way its a matter of opinion as far as who is the best but we could perhaps name a few reputable companies that have excellent proven track record with the BBB.

mjg, for me I found debt settlement worked for my budget and the company I chose was Superior Debt. Only have 3 accounts to finish settling and I signed up for a 3 year program but because they got my largest debt settled for 22cents on the dollar (OMG just so thrilled) so now its been almost 2 years and only 3 left! MJG trying to determine who is the best settlement company is like trying to find out which girl you should take to the prom. It is really hard to say which company is the best, you would have to do your homework, by calling companies and speaking to them. remember you are looking to hire someone to work on your behalf, so therefore you are the boss. would you hire someone you had a bad gut feeling about.

The ultimate decision is yours, theres many factors to keep in mind when hiring a settlement company. Many of those factors are written in this forum time and time again, just make sure to read enough threads to get a basic idea.

doityourself, I very much agree with you. All I could do was just share my experience; isn't this site used for. So for me I was first with a law firm that did debt settlement and was sued within 4 months. Now I have been with Superior Debt for almost 2 years and only have 3 accounts left to settle. It is also good to know that my initial counselor Teresa is still there. Everytime I have a question or need something done I call either Melissa or Teresa and it gets done. The level of service and attention to care and compassion these two ladies of exuded is simply amazing.

So coming from a nightmare experience to a company that has served me more than I had expected is why I have always referred family and friends to Teresa and Superior Debt and no one else because they are the best for me.
