Former real estate investor needs Help

Hi Everyone! I'm new here. Name's Gary
I'm looking for a little advice, and perhaps someone to talk to. I got in to real estate way over my head, now I have to choose between foreclosure of at least 2 homes or total bankruptcy down the road.
I've always had great credit, but I just missed my first payment. The mortgage company is calling but their not exactly trying to help the situation.
I'm kind of thinking it is better to stop the bleeding now, rather then putting myself in a worse position later on.

You can refinance your mortgage. If you choose bankruptcy then it is better to go for Chapter 13 bankruptcy than Chapter 7 because it will help you to retain your home.
