I've paid off afni 3 years ago. However, I would like for them to be removed from my credit report. Is that possible in such short time?

Usually, negative items will remain on your credit report at least for 7-10 years. You can make a written request to the CA to remove the negative listings from your credit report out of goodwill. The following link may help you in this regard:

Goodwill for a collection account is futile. You are not a customer, they are not looking for your business again, which is what goodwill is used for in the the business industry. They dont care about your credit...once you are paid in full, your account is not their concern and they will not use manpower hours to fix it.

Per the FCRA, negative reporting is 7 years, not 7-10. Positive credit is 10.
