Single mother of 3 tring to rebuild credit.

Do you have the latest copies of your credit report? Check all the items that are reported on the file. It should mention the name of the creditors or accounts that are in collections. Check for any item that is wrongly reported and dispute it with the bureaus. Once you know all the accounts are correct, call each creditor and put your payment proposals. You need to have all the debts shown as "paid" before your credit improves. The creditors will be willing to accept your proposals since you want to pay them back. Make sure that you stick to the plan. Keep monitoring your credit report to see that the creditors are updating your latest payments to the bureaus. More tips on credit repair are mentioned in this link. You will find it very helpful.
