I am also behind on 3 other cards( BOFA, Chase, Discover) with similar balance but no offers on them

Delinquency of 77 days is nothing. One, generally, gets the best settlement rates when they are delinquent for at least 130-150 days. But, it depends.
Citi stuck to 45 percent with me past 120 days, then got them to

on here that people reccomend.

Let the citi folks stew a little longer and you'll get to 35%.
It will usually be 120 days or longer before they cave in.

I got a call from chase on my office number, not sure how they got it. Called back on the same number ( verified the number)...spoke to a lady ..after explaining my financial situation ....she offered me 50% settlement...didn't accept it....after 15-20 mins of negotiations.. she came down to 40%.....
Thought a nice deal and accepted offer...she said she will send the offer via fax..
Expecting the fax tomorrow...
This is my first settlement with any credit card, could you guys tell me what measures should i take when i pay the settlement money..

Let the original creditor draft it (not a collection agency).
Chase was really easy to do.
