ready to settle on my own

I owe 9900 to Discover now. I can come up with 70% now to settle. I've never been late more than twice in 13 years. I can't take paying 19.99% APR anylonger and want to be debt free. I am required to maintain "Fair" credit for my employment so I am researching ways to settle without damaging my credit. Is it possible??:confused:

With that much cash to settle with this soon, I would probably make a lump sum, then chip away at the balance. Your credit will be suffer less.
