I keep getting calls for a Laverna Wright and I have no IDEA who it is. I'm sick of getting calls for this person. I have told them so many times that I have no affiliation with this person but continue to get calls. It's frustrating because I get calls while assisting my kids with homework, cooking/eating dinner, or other family activities. I have fielded over 150 calls for Laverna Wright and this person has absolutely no affiliation with my family. The last name is common that is the only commonality. How can I get them to stop calling once and for all (other than changing my number and having it unlisted)?

You can ask them to send you a collection letter. Once you get the letter, send them a Cease and Desist letter. Other than this, you can also file complaints with the FTC. And you can also contact your phone service provider and ask them if the number can be blocked.

Better yet, because so many of these type's of companies use multiple phone numbers and although it can be inconvenient change your phone number. Most phone companies won't block a number, they will tell you how to do it from your phone and each time a call is placed from that number and you have it blocked there is a fee. You would have to find out from your phone service what the fee is. Also file a complaint with the FCC, and is your number on the DO NOT CALL LIST?
