Rec'd a registered letter from GEMB today stating if I did not make a minimum payment by this due date (9th) that they would place acct with a collection agency. I'm not sure how they count days but my first missed payment was Jan. 9 so I think I am only 60 days maybe they are counting it as 90.

I thought this was a little early for them to send to CA. Is this a bluff? They had earlier offered me a low interest and also a no interest repayment plan but I could not afford to accept either at that time.

I really need to settle a couple of bigger BofA accts. first before I can afford to save the cash to settle this one. Should I go ahead and accept a hardship low payment offer for a few payments to keep it from going to a CA for now so that I can hope settlement with OC later in the year?
