i owe her a small amount, but my husband is in the army and she contacted his chain of command and gave him the amounts that we owe and i thought that this was illegal, we didnt say she could call his boss she just did it and is giving him all the info. no my kids are no longer in her daycare

I know the military takes outstanding debts very seriously so even if she "shouldn't" have tattled to his chain of command, he might still get into trouble about this.

they can inform the chain of command only if they have the info though. she went through and called everyone until she found his sgt's which isnt allowed..and then she told him about the debt itself be it military or not i thought that you cant give that kind of info to anyone but the debtor.

as a military person your husband is "property" of the US Govt,
as a military person your husband is "property" of the US Govt, and some strange rules apply. And I'm not sure that privacy laws apply to a private person, but of course I could be wrong?
