That's a great idea finsfan! retail cards are just awful and don't like to work with us especially if we have a dmp plan. I'm actually encouraged to hear that you were able to get them on your plan at all, that's very good. please let us know if you're able to do what finsfan suggested, that way those of us with credit from stores like that will know should we have a similar situation.

I also mean to say that when you get your tax money to pay something off as you plan to do. When I got a little money, I paid off the smallest amount first and then went up from there. unfortunately, my counselor did the negotiating for me, so my plan didn't allow me to renegotiate the plans that were already in place, part of that i'm sure is that i signed on the dotted line agreeing to the existing terms and conditions of all the companies involved. Kudos for having a responsible plan for that money!

Does anyone have any contact information to get a hold to Friedman's so that I may settle a debt. I was paying a balance while I was deployed, I learned that they have filed bankruptcy and I need to settle my account with them. If anyone has any information that can help I would really appreciate it

World Bank Financial has taken over their credit card accounts--number is 1-866-283-6797. I still have no idea how to settle my in store account, and neither do these guys. Best of luck.

I had someone call me from 1-800-991-5278 about my account, try to call them to pay your balance.

I have a pottery barn card I need to settle but have no contact with the company because I am on a 1-year interest free period starting last july. Now 9 mos later I am considering filing BK for my mortgage situation. I would like to settle all these debts and this PB card is out there with $4K on it. I call the WFB number today which is the same number for this friedman jeweler (they do a lot of store cards) and when I ask for loss mitigation the woman thought I was speaking spanish and replied in spanish, they did not know what loss mitigation was. Then when I said the word BK they transferred me to somebody who was trying to sell me that credit card insurance that pays off your card if you get injured.

OK back to square one with world financial. No way to contact them.
