Most rent debts are not reported to credit bureaus - most landlords don't bother, unless they take you to court and obtain a judgement against you. Did that happen?

Yes its on all three credit reports. under 200 bucks own rent debt. I tried to apply for some credit cards and i think they could have refused me cause of that rent debt? Or would it be because i never had a credit card before? whats a good starter credit card?
