Debt problems and living outside the US

Hi,
I have a debt situation that is a bit complicated. I hope that someone may be able and willing to help.
About 3 years ago, I was facing a possible layoff and started seeking new work. An opportunity arose for my wife and me to move overseas and live/work in Europe for as long as we liked.
Seeing this as an opportunity of a lifetime, I took the job and 3 months later I was relocated and working in The Netherlands.
After arriving I found it very difficult(due to lack of knowledge) to transfer money to the US to pay my bills as well as on monthly paycheck rather than biweekly etc, etc... When I finally was back in a position to pay my bills, they were all in default.
To make a bad situation worse, I became engrossed in my new life and the debts were 'out of sight, out of mind'
My wife and I had a discussion and a reality check and have decided that this debt has to be a top priority.
Being that I live overseas, I believe a Debt Management non profit organization is the best way to go in order to get this debt sorted out.
Would you please help me review my situation and let me know what solutions are best suited.

It is good that you want to repay your debts. It is not that you
It is good that you want to repay your debts. It is not that you only have to enroll in a debt management program to repay your debts. You can also try out debt consolidation or settlement. You should also know that non-profit organizations do charge a nominal fee for their services. I think you should contact your local debt relief companies and ask them if they can help you repay debts back in USA. They can tell you in detail. But you have to be very cautious as a lot of scams are happening nowadays.
