To answer your question - I would do what bossy says - do reasearch on your company before deciding. There are alot of rip off companies out there that just want your money. Ask questions here. hello and welcome! my thoughts are not every program is right for everyone so first you must find out what is the right program for you and in this order is the best:
1. debt management if you can swing it
2.diy settlement it is cheaper and you always know whats goin on.
3.settlement with a company if you dont feel like you can stomache the agervation of the diy way than this is a good option. but you must really really do your homework some bad companies out there that are preying on people like you and will take your money and run. Research research and then research some more.

be cautious of people telling you who to use on this forum. alot of spammers, and people that work for these companies. most honest people in this forum that are here to really help will not ever tell you who to use. but if you are leaning to a certain company you should be able to get the feel of them by reading around.
