Fairlane/SST Debt Validation
Date: Mon, 12/10/2007 - 13:02
Ok, I've been a watcher on here for a while, but I have a question and figured this would be the place to get the answer.
I sent the debt validation letter to Fairlane and all I got back was copies of 3 of the origional papers signed. What I really need is payment history and balance. This is a vehicle that my husband cosigned for back in 1999. It should have been paid off in 2004 but she didn't pay it off and they didn't repo it. She still has it. What should we do next?
Should I send them a letter asking for payment history and balance? And, should we ask them to repo the car and tell them we won't make a payment on it until it is no longer in her possession?
All opinions are GREATLY appreciated!

Send them a letter telling them that they failed in their valida
Send them a letter telling them that they failed in their validation attempt and state the info you required and did not receive. It is too late for them to provide it if the thirty days have elapsed so tell the to cease all collections under the fdcpa
Do you know of a sample letter to send to them? I am very bad w
