They called today telling me that I owe $560 for a $350 loan. A fee of $105 has been paid already. I asked the agent if the additional money was for interest payments. She immediately corrected me stating they were "service fees". Only willing to make arrangements for 2 payments. Told her I needed more time. The apr in NY state cannot exceed 25%, so I dont think I owe quite this much. Can someone help me figure out exactly what my proposal to them should be without violating the law in NY state?

I believe they are prohibited in NY are they not? If that is the case, then you only owe the principle amount you borrowed. As far as I am concerned, you should tell them to KYA! They are scum bags. They got me for over 500 on a 250 loan and claim i still owe them another 600. Fat chance!

They are ILLEGAL in NY. The NY AG office will be all over them. Please send in a complaint and dont give them a dime more. They will tell you the contract is null and void. They were not supposed to lend there they are breaking the law. KYSIDE38
