I am being sued by Excel Acquistions for credit card debt from 1997 that is covered by statue of limitations. But some how Excel Acquisitions is showing on my credit report that the 1st delinquency was 7/2004 which is not true. How can I prove this is not correct in court. Can anyone help with this?
Thank you

I subscribe to truecredit.com. It gives you unlimited access to all 3 major credit bureaus. It also gives advice on how to dispute discrepancies on your credit report plus you can get your credit score from all three companies. I believe the first month was $24.95 or $29.95 and then it is $14.95 thereafter. It also notifies you when an inquiry is made on your credit report.

Can somebody please explain about the statute of limitations referred to? Do you only have to pay off debts within a certain time frame? If so, what is the time frame? Thanks.
