They are now calling with threats to send to a third party collection agency.
What should be my approach. I want to inform them that per NC, they are trying to collect on a loan that has been paid (per NC they are entitled to $408 - we have paid $535 to them.

The "third party" CA they use is like all the other "third party" CA's these ipdls use. They all use illegal collection tactics. They will threaten you with arrest, fraud charges, say people are coming to your house, your work. Just know these are all lies and illegal tactics. They may sound scary and real but they are all LIES. They may report you to Teletrak, which is used by other pdls, subprime lenders, and rental centers.
