It is quite surprising to note that they want the payment first and then they would send you the notice. Unless they send you some information, do not make the payments. It seems to be a scam. Don't pay a penny to them. Ask them to send a debt validation letter first. If they don't send the letter, send a cease and desist letter to them. Alternatively, check the SOL on the debt has expired. If it has expired then they can't sue you for the debt. But the bottom line is don't make any payments to them unless they validate the debt.

I would suggest your check your credit report and see if there's anything showing on there from Allied. If so, I would dispute it. Also, what state do you live in? 10 years is very likely past the statute of limitations anyway.
