Hello! I am still looking around for a debt settlement company. Has anyone ever used Trinity Financial Mission? If so what can you tell me about them. I so want to find a company that I can trust. I am so anxious about all of this. Husband wants something to be done right NOW but I am worried that we will use a bad company and get ripped off or something so I am researching & shopping around.

Any good advice out there? We have around $90,000 cc debt that we want to be done with. Tired of high interest charges, etc.

Thanks.

I have a client who has contacted me about TFM and I have some concerns. I do not have anything concrete at this time but I would encourage anyone who needs financial guidance to check these guys out thoroughly first and be wary of anyone who wants a substantial "counseling" or other fee.

Considering using them myself. Have been going back and forth with them for almost a year and they are still around and still being patient with me to make a decision. I was skeptical as well but they don't seem to be a fly by night operation. I get the concern about the in business date but the 2006 just means that's when they registered with the BBB. Does not mean they weren't around before.

I've been trying to check this company out and have not really come across anything negative. Have you decided to go with them?

I have contacted TFM and will be using their services soon.
This compaOne is a sponsor for American Family Radio.(Christian Radio Tupelo MS) one Station

They will lower interest rates and collect one payment from you. They get to keep $30 for each payment made to them for their services. My savings was $50,000 for next four years because their will be no late charges and lower interest.

You get to chose which of your debts you want them to work on. I got an answer to my questions in less than 30 min.

I signed up with Trinity Financial Mission, they referred me and I am actually working with Christian Crossroads. I have been signed up with them since Feb 2009. I have been scamed in the past so I am very leary of any company but I feel I have no choice at this point. They have sent me copies of settlement proposals letters they sent and I also received a letter from a couple of my creditors saying they received the proposals so I know they are doing that much. Also they promptly answer any question or concern I have by email. It is concerning that they do not have a phone number you can reach them at but when I asked they said this is because they would not be able to get anything done because of the overwhelming phone calls from clients and creditors. My settlement advisor told me that it can take anywhere from 6-8 months to get these accounts settled. That means you have entrusted at least a couple of thousands dollars without any real assurance that this company is legit.

Our friends went through this company, they gave them the fee up front and then nothing was settled with their creditors. So not only did they lose out on a settlement they also lost the money to Christian Crossroads and or Trinity Financial. Ending result further behind in their payments and had to file bankrupsy..More money they had to spend for and attorney. BEWARE....

to the last post, did you not recieve a summons? did you appear in court? they cannot put a lein on your home without a judgement. you may have missed the hearing find out the info by calling your local court house and find out. What program are you speaking of, and are you not keeping in touch with them? we will need more info on your particular situation

To everyone in this conversation about Trinity Financial Mission:
DO NOT do business with them. In 2007, my parents used them (they were then under the name "Christian Crossroads"), and as a result their credit has been ruined, and I have been ineligible for student loans through my parents and had to take out loans personally instead just to continue going to college.
This company took over $5000 from us. The money did not go to creditors, creditors were in fact never even contacted by this company, and my family barely stayed out of lawsuits with the people they had owed money to because all our accounts became delinquent. My mother filed complaints with the BBB about Christian Crossroads, and not long afterward the company seemed to vanish into thin air. Then we ran across a site for "Trinity Financial." IT WAS THE EXACT SAME WEBSITE as the Christian Crossroads one had been except the name had been changed. Testimonials, FAQS, EVERYTHING was the same! I just did some browsing and came across this "Trinity Financial Mission" you are all wondering about. It is Christian Crossroads and Trinity Financial repackaged. The FAQS are still identical though the website has been revamped; there is actually a link on Trinity Financial Mission that still goes to the old TrinityFinancial/ChristianCrossroads website. THAT is why they seem to have a clean slate with the BBB -- they just keep renaming and repackaging the same scam!!!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not get into the same mess with this scam company as my family did!

I checked with these guys. Christian Crossroads was a group they outsourced to. They no longer use them - they use New Horizons. Nevertheless, they "outsource" their services. I like what I seen about Lutheran Social Services personally. https://debthelp.lssmn.org/

Hello, I read your entry and saw it was back in May 09. How are things going with Trinity? I am considering using them.

I found a debt management company that seems to be doing what it is supposed to be doing. Past interest is not forgiven, which I'd love to find someone to do, but at least I'm no longer being hassled by creditors and I see my balances going down. Through my research I found a lot of complaints about others - CARE ONE seems to be on the up and up. Good luck in your searches - give these guys a try though. CARE ONE.

Aloha!

:evil:I too went with Trinity Financial Mission who in turn turned my info over to Christian Crossroads, I have been sued twice and have had to settle 3 credit cards myself or else my wages were going to garnishment. We go to these companies for help, I myself feel that they have not helped me at all. They did settle one small card but had to advance me a loan against my account to do it. They take $440.00 a month for the first 3 months plus $35.00. Then their fee is $220.00 plus the $35.00 a month for the next 21 months, I am on a 5 year program and they keep telling me that because I am on a longer program that they had to hit me hard with the fees right away. How unfair is this? I asked my counselor, "If you take the fees up front how do any of the accounts get settled," he really gave no answer except to say it takes time. I have been with them for 1 year now and my account is still in the negative so there is no money to work with to pay off any of the creditors. Does this make any sense? I am really mad about this whole thing. You go to people for help and can trust no one. Now I don't know what to do.

I am also under contract with these people. I am in shock and have no idea what to do. the Lawyers for the credit card have a summons agains me and I am to pay the full amount. I have no way to figure any of this out. I guess they too are crooks. They offered the Lawyers for Citi Bank $1600 on my $12,000 debt. No response but a lauggh and a summons filed and approved against me. I am beyond feeling, and no longer trust anyone.

I contacted Trinity Debt Management recently. The CS rep stated that they cannot help w/my massive debt b/c the bank in question "currently" caps interest rates on credit cards below the rate that Trinity helps people with. So, this tells me that Trinity Debt Management is in consort with certain financial institutions. If they were not, then, they would not limit only certain people whose intersest rates are a couple of percentage points below 20% for example. Go elsewhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks so much for this information, Bain.

I assumed Trinity Financial was a debt settlement company, but based on your post it appears they perform the services of a consumer credit counseling agency? Interesting.
