After you have asked the debt collector to validate your account
After you have asked the debt collector to validate your account, they are legally restricted from contacting you until they have the accurate info. I feel they are trying to mislead you and collect money without any legitimate purpose. You should not send your money until you are sure that the company has your file and your money will be posted towards the account.
As the debt has not been validated yet, send one more letter to the collection agency requesting the same purpose of validating your account. Mention in the follow up letter that you already requested this info in the previous letter and they have failed to give the required details. If they still pursue collections without giving your info, report the credit reporting agency about this. Here are few links on this collection agency.

Thanks for the info. that's what i thought, they are NOT suppose to be pursuing this further. I have the signed receipt to the certified I sent them. I think they are crooked!

can you tell me what type of debt this is supposed to be for? or what type of debt this company collects?
