Was it langhorne that did this to you or another pdl? I don't know how they do refunds, I would check your contract.
langhorne law
no it was through another pdl whom i guess work w/ langhorne? i think it was webpay. i had already set up a payment plan w/ them and two weeks ago was supposed to be my last payment then bam today i get another debit from them. i'm just furious. last week i was gonna put a block on them but the bank told me i would have to pay 25.00. i've never heard of that before. so i want my money back and fast

Banks will charge a stop payment fee on debit blocks, it's the same cost as putting a stop payment on a paper check. I would be ticked if I were you as well. Have you disputed this with your bank? These internet pdls are famous for doing this to people until they get back what they think they deserve. It would be worth the charge to block them from your account.
langhorne law
i should have just done the stop payment or changed my debit card and told the bank i lost it. I just called the bank and they told me to call langhorne and tell them to release the funds or sign a form disputing which will take 7-10 business days. It's been about 3 months and finally i get my whole check, been counting down the weeks and now this. i'm calling those idiots first thing tomorrow morning. I miss citibank. if i had a dispute they would immediately take care of it. Commerce i have to go into the branch fill out a form 7-10 business days blah blah blah.

Hello Pat/Goldiebx/PDL stalker or whoever you are. I find it hard to believe that you just made your last payment with Langhorne (which means you have been doing business with them for at least 6 months) and you have no idea how to reach them. Give me a break. I have only been working with them for 2 weeks and not only have them on speed dial but have their number memorized. I think you are a PDL stalker who is trying to make Langhorne look bad. Why don't you go look in your welcome kit they mailed you? Or read your contract you signed? Or log in under you internet access code they gave you to track your account when you signed up? Hmmm? Oh thats right you, cant because you're not a client. Just some PDL loser trying to disparage an organization doing wonderful work for a lot of people. That's my story and I'm sticking to it
lanhorne law
excuse cbigfan7 i really don't care what you believe. I have been doing business w/ pdl several of them. My acct went into collections SO they contacted me and started debiting my acct. Are you still following? When the debits would come into my bank the name was under langhorne law not the pdl's. They have been debiting my acct since 9/07. Oct 25th was supposed to be the last date. They debited yesterday. I don't have any acct acct w langhorne. I've never contacted them until today and was told that they were working w/ nationwide cash and they no longer worked w/ them as of 6/2006. I was told to contact Mr. Blake at nationwide becuase the person on the phone from langhorne advised me that a lot of plp have been wrongly debited by them but langhornes' name is showing up in their accts even though they no longer do business with them. I did contact Mr. Blake from nationwide and he said the money would be back into my acct in 2-3 business days from now. Are you still following or you still being an ahole? Read before you start critizing you idiot! Pdl stalker? moron. I set up a deal w/ nationwide to pay off my acct . I'm done as of 10/25! or so i thought. i had no business dealings w/ langhorne and assumed because of my agreement w/ nationwide i was done paying. So take your story and shove it!
Furthermore i'm trying to pay off my debts and damn proud of try
Furthermore i'm trying to pay off my debts and damn proud of trying to get ahead. I refuse to let you or plp like you bring me down when you don't know a freaking thing about me! Pathetic, get a life. oh i forgot your nose is too far up langhorne's a***.
If that is true, than I apologize. There are a lot of stalkers
If that is true, than I apologize. There are a lot of stalkers on here trying to undermine the spirit and message of this board, and Langhorne lately has been a huge target. As I said, I found it hard to believe that a client of Langhorne would have no idea how to reach them. Since I am obviously the one with some class and a somewhat intelligent and civil command of the English language here, I will take the high road and not respond to your profane diatribe. di-a-tribe: a bitter and abusive speech or writing. Your rant is testimony to the fact that you may have needed help with that one

I think it was hard to understand what was going on. Did Langhorne double dip into your account or was it the pdl you had made an arrangement with? But if I understand it right, it was a pdl that used to work with Langhorne not Langhorne itself doing the double dipping. Is that right?

ok, steelers i had several accts w/ pdsl they went into collections. I made agreement with them so when the debits would come out, they were coming out under langhorne law not any of the pdl companies. I called langhorne law this morning and the guy on the phone told me that they no longer work nationwide since 6/02 i don't know exactly what happened but the guy did say they have gotten a lot of complaints from plp about them doing the same things to their accts. He gave me the number to nationwide and told me to speak w/ a Mr. Blake. I called and I explained what happened i went through the payment dates w/ him and i was supposed to pay up until 10/25 which i started from 9/7. Two weeks ago was my last payment , Mr. Blake went in his records and tried to scam me saying i missed a payment complete bs. I have my bank statements. I'm no idiot. Anyways to make a long story short after i hung up on him, i called back spent a few more minutes talking to him and was told that the money would be credited back in 2-3 business days. I'm waiting until then, after that if he hasn't i'm putting in investigation on the payment to the bank. cbig i got your loser right here buddy.

I think I remember Dennis posting something some time ago that these pdls that he used to work with are still using his name and they were notified to stop, but some are still doing this. It is unfortunate because I think Dennis is doing a good thing for people and it seems like the pdls way of slamming his name and company's name. I hope you get your money back in your account soon.

Guys/Ladies, let's not argue please. Name calling really isn't going to solve anything. If you have questions of eachother, you can use the PM to ask eachother....If you feel that someone is pretending to be someone they're not, or that they're in some way a fraud, or a "stalker" or many of the other accusations that are going around these boards, send a moderator or an admin a PM and we can look into it. Let's keep these posts helpful for others.
I'm not trying to involve myself or start a different argument, I'm requesting this in the spirit of the community.
(Sorry if I'm rambling, I'm really tired. :) )

Thank you steelers, someone who knows how to read. Yes the guy from langhorne did sound upset w/ nationwide. I tell Mr. Blake and he wants to know exactly who told me this. He sounded angry himself. I didn't trust him at all. Just a vibe i got over the phone. To eveyone else please don't post a response to my question before thoroughly reading what i've written before making a comple a** out of yourself. You can take your perfect English and stick it , this isn't an english class nor am i impressed w/ your diction. I couln't care less. That's not what i'm here for. I'm not impressed. We are on this board to help one another. If your not trying to help me, then ignore my post. Better yet , go out do something with yourself.

I hope everything is straightened out for Goldie, but I'm afraid I cannot join you in bashing Langhorne Law. They have been nothing but kind to me since I signed up with them last month and I have the upmost respect for Dennis and everyone on his team. I have always been treated with the upmost respect and courtesy with them everytime I have called and I know if there is some sort of an error on Goldie's account, they will bend over backwards to fix it. Just my 2 cents.
What an unfortunate mess you're in right now, goldiebx. I know
What an unfortunate mess you're in right now, goldiebx. I know what a nightmare it can be. Good for you for working on getting everything paid off. It can be very frustrating when people won't work with you. It sounds like you started doing business with Langhorne Law before he came "to the other side (our side)," and as Steelers1 said, some PDLs are still using their name, which they are not supposed to be doing. I think the blame is with the PDLs (Nationwide, is it?), not with Langhorne Law. If you go to the Marcia Brady post, it explains how Dennis (of Langhorne Law) USED to work for the PDLs but then decided he was on the wrong side and is helping the people who have been abused by these PDLs. I think we were all a little skeptical at first, but the new Langhorne Law has been proving that they are on our side and has already helped many people out, cbigfan7 being one of them. So again, I really think your beef is with Nationwide, not Langhorne Law. The best of luck to you. Let us know what happens.

Ok, update guys. Nationwide did refund the full amount 11/13. I had no problems w/ Mr. Blake fron nationwide. He was actually cordial while I was ranting. The credit still showed up under Langhorne's name though. Thanx Dennis for all your help. I really appreciate your patience. Thank you to all on the forum also. You too cbig.

Customer service is extremely important to me. I'm glad to hear they are so courteous. They weren't doing this when I was in my pdl mess last winter but that is behind me now. I agree that he is doing a great service for the forum members here. Goldie, I'm glad to hear things worked out for you :-)
BEWARE !! BEWARE LANGHORN LAW
Langhorne Law, aka Dennis Williams, sits on the Board of Directors of a payday loan company. His claims that he no longer is in the hard core collections business (working as a crony for Larry David Frascella, who are in essence "CashToday" and "Ambassador Financial Services), but Mr Williams of Langhorne Law claims to have reformed his ways, and now works on behalf of consumers telling them how to get out of paying a loan. Truth is, Mr Dennis Williams sits on the Board of Directors of a company called Quick Check Financial, of Carson City Nevada. Beware of wolves in sheeps clothing my friends. If you trust a guy like Dennis Williams, who did, and still does work as the lackey and puppet of two disreputable payday lenders out of philadelphia (Larry and david Frascella), you should RUN, not walk, away from Langhorne Law and Dennis Williams. Plus, he is too busy running his payday loan company, to bother with your problems.

wth? *looking at theshadows posting* Steelers I have no idea what Dennis is going to do about the pdl's still using his firm's name. Mishele, yea Mr. Baker was nice about what happened w/ the mess up. Yea that's a first for me also. I was getting such an attitude w/ him and he's like "how is your day going?, We can fix that problem right away etc. He wasn't the nicest person nor was he the rudest. He didn't like the fact that I was being rude and he told me so, but i was angry and worried i wouldn't get my money back. Dennis was really nice when he could have just told me to not call his number anymore and to deal w/ nationwide myself. He gave me the direct number to nationwide and told me exactly whom to ask for. Really helpful person.

"Beware of Shadow's postings" is what I say. Shadows always seems to be wanting to stir up trouble. It is funny, if this is so true, then why are so many members getting such favorable results with Dennis? I didn't even sign up for services with Dennis and YET he gave me his time free of charge to discuss internet pdls. What proof do you have with your allegations Shadow? I am interested.

Yup, me too steelers! He explained exactly what was going on w/ nationwide and told me when the money would be back in my acct and he also said if it wasn't there that day that we would all three him, myself and nationwide get on the phone and have a threeway to find out what was going on. Luckily the money was credited to my acct, so i didn't have to call nationwide back. Dennis a patient person and i'm not a client. Pay no heed to theshadow.

Have you ever noticed that everytime someone compliments Dennis' work, "the shadow" always comes out and down grades him? "the shadow" probably works for a pdl company and is just mad b/c someone finally decided to help people instead of taking advantage of them. Whoever you are "the shadow," I'm quite sure your company is being investigated by the AG's office of every state for not being licensed and whatever else you're doing that is illegal.

The Frescella brothers owned this PDL on Race St in philly. They were quickly bounced out of Pennsylvania and moved on to New York where they were also banned from doing business.Eventually went bankrupt. when they did go bankrupt one of their creditors was their very own lobbiest!
They eventually opened up a new PDL under a new name.
When I was dealing with the PDL I always mentioned the Franscella brothers and Artis systems, the actual company that does the ACH's.
The last document I saw with L'Law and Nationwide Cash's signature was a C&D from California dated 6 September 2006.

That may be true Roadwarrior, but L'Law was in business with these pdls and prior to his quitting that business he may have been involved with some type of investigation and the C&D came after his quitting the pdl business. He would still be held liable even if he quit the business prior to or during the investigation.

Regardless of what "The Shadow" or other unfavorable people's opinions are, I only have the highest regards for L'Law. I am also not a client of his and had a question not even related to PDLs, and he answered my question in detail. So saw what you want, Shadow, L'Law is proving themselves over and over again to be a firm who is committed to helping others. Thanks, Dennis.
Fair
You guys are slamming shadow for voicing his outrage at a company that screwed him,and unfortunately L'Law was part of that. Everything, mostly everything that shadow mentioned is the same information I came up with in my research, which was so extensive I found the company responsible for processing the ACH's,as well as a cleaning company somebody owns in Philadelphia.
I have noticed a pattern. Most everyone who has obtained L'Law,I've reviewed the past posts, had no PDL's that involved them. I for one had one that did!
I could have easily written what Shadow did when L'Law came on the posts. However,me being who I am restrained judgement to wait for fact.
This would be the equivalent of Mitchell from Platinum B coming onboard and saying.."Hi All...I want to be your friend!"
Now I am not saying that L'Law is misleading people,on the contrary. The people he is dealing with seem to be happy with the service he provides for them,I wish them all well!
Let's not judge somebody for voicing an objection to an injustice!
Steelers1....You are correct, that C&D was years in the making.
Shadow... Nobody in this forum is advocating welching on a debt!

I have a half dozen shelf companies that never actually operated. Typically, I would form a company and name myself as a director. When a client purchased the company, I would then resign as director and substitute their names for my own.
Quick Check is one of several that are sitting unused on my shelf. It's never operated, let alone made a loan. Anyone wanna buy it?

I think I'll contact Bass & Associate's to see if they will finance it for me. I need to get the address of the hair salon though.
Langhorne
Langhorne was the in-house law firm that sent threatening emails to PDL customers for Nationwide. Search the forums for the past and you will see that they were the worse! Mr. Blake is Jimmie Blake who has nationwidecash.com AND langhornelaw.com email addresses. He's been in PDLs for a long time for several companies. This whole Langhorne Law thing is a crock. Hopefully everyone will research the prior posts in this site and see that a leopard cannot change it's stripes!

Truth, everyone knows what Dennis has done, he never withheld his past from anybody here and has been honest about his work with the pdls. And people do change, it is unfortunate that you can not see that, have you not ever done anything in the past that you regret or hurt somebody and made a change for the better? So there is no truth in people do not change, because they most certainatly do.

Dbaker is right. Drowning in debt, when i started this thread i had complaints because when the debits would come into my checking acct it was under langhorne's name not natinowide. Mr. Blake was cordial and honest about returning the money. I thought they wouldn't. Dennis doesn't deal w/ or work w/ them anymore by what he's told me. They are not supposed to still be using his firm's name, but they are. Ties have been severed since 6/06 i was told.
Langhorne Law
That is the story but do a google search on the key words "ambassador financial california lawsuit settlement" and see what pops up. Yes, Ambassador got sued by California for violating the payday loan laws there and Dennis Williams is clearly listed as the contact for them as of the settlement date which is September 12, 2006. That is over 3 months after they were supposed to have severed ties. See it for yourself! Believe me I'm looking for a way to get out of my financial trouble just like the rest of you but the grief that Langhorne gave me when they were collecting on my bad loan with them was horrible. I just don't want to see everyone fall into this trap!
Wouldn't Dennis still be held liable for that if it occurred bef
Wouldn't Dennis still be held liable for that if it occurred before his separation? And it could be that it took until Sept. to get the settlement. Govt. operates slowly and nothing ever happens quickly. So I think that even though it is dated for Sept. 2006 it is holding him liable for something he had done prior to his separation. I can understand that you hold animosity, and I don't blame you for all the grief you were given, I do not doubt that one bit.
