Brenda - I think the best thing you can do is continue to tell them she does not live there. If they continue to call, advise them that you want to be removed from their call list, because you are not a contact number for your daughter. Give them your daughter's number and tell them if they continue to call you, you will be filing a complaint against them.

I don't think you will need to say who you are filing a complaint with - just the fact that you are filing a complaint against them - that might get them to stop calling.

Since the debt is not yours, you can send a cease and desist letter to their mailing address. They will have to legally stop calling you. If they continue, you can sue them on charges of violating one of the FDCPA laws.

Thank you, Flying Cats - I like your solution better than my own! I was just trying to help her get them to stop calling, but you definitely gave better advice than I. I'll keep that in mind for the next time. :-)

I personally can't believe that they have called this long with no results. Has your daughter been paying them all along?

Lorri-she has just returned home from being away for a long while.She has not paid them anything and looks like she is not going to call them .
