I keep getting calls from agencies like Creditors Exchange because someone with bad credit gave them the number I have had for more than two years. I have routinely explained this and have met with rude and curt responses. Today the woman from Creditors Exchange wouldn't identify herself or her company. I had use caller ID to see who it was. What do I do to stop this?

Cease and desist SHOULD work. But some CAs just don't get it. But send one out and hopefully that will do it.

My thought after that: air horn. Next time they call, you remind them that you have told them numerous times you are not the person they are looking for and if you call back again, you will get an earful of air horn. Then, follow through on that threat on the next call and all calls after that. At least you'll be having fun. :)

Why not you talk with Creditors Exchange once and get this straightened up. Their should be no calls from them unless they are collecting your debts.

If the lady with whom you talked on the phone sounds rude, talk to their supervisor and get this problem fixed. Send the cease and desist letter also so that the CA is stopped legally from calling you.
