I am currently in a very tough situation. My paycheck is not enough to cover the bills my family and I have. My phone rings constantly and I do not answer because I know it is a creditor and I don't have any money to give them. I am just frustrated because there is not enough money to cover everything.

It always seems like there are too many needs in life when it comes to money doesn't it? I (and many others) can relate to your situation. You are a registered member of this site and that means a debt counselor will be calling you and you can discuss what your best plan would be for your debt. Good luck, keep your chin up---life won't always be like this.

benj - welcome to the site! Once you have discussed your situation with a debt counselor, you can start feeling better about picking up the phone and advising your creditors that you are involved in a debt counseling program. You should be able to get them to stop calling by giving them the name and phone number of your counselor. Some may not stop calling until they actually receive the proposal from your debt counselor, but eventually, you'll have your peace of mind and your phone back again! :-)
