So you ran up your credit card debt and couldn't pay the bills. You got into a program that would settle your debt for less than what you owed, but were to impatient to let the process work for you. Yea, i ran up my cards too and yea I tried to work with the credit card companies and collection companies myself. oh, yea they would work with me alright and lower the amount I owed, however they wanted all the settlement money right now. I don't happen to have that kind of money. If I did I wouldn't be in this position. I sucked it up and stayed with the program. I paid off my last debt yesterday. I am free free free-----i will never use credit cards again. As for these nambie pambie's all over this website, looking for the easy way out with bk===you will always be losers

Cajun, I assume you are from Acadiana or close to that area. I know that you have so many cajun girls who you would love to see in Victoria Secrets (notice I say look but not touch).

I love to have a lot of purses and shoes. Clothes is eh but shoes. How many women who you don't know does not love to buy shoes? You can never have enough shoes.

Alexandra,
You are correct in look but don't touch. There are quite a large variety of women in Acadiana from different races and different backgrounds. I have aged enough where I can appreciate just about any woman because every woman has at least one feature or trait that makes her beautiful. I am a happily married man with two women now so even if I was dirty, would have no time for extra woman! Two women are my beautiful wife and my 5 year old daughter.

Do you wear ****? I love my****. The most comfortable ones are underscore from JcPenney. They cost more but they are so comfortable.

Jeff don't leave. Please don't go. Tell us about your shoes. Some men look very good in a pair of shoes.

Sue, I can't buy everything in Vicky's SEcrets. They are not for the full figured girls. I do like their lotions and perfumes though. Depending on where you go, the service can be so crappy nowadays. THen again, that is most stores I go into.

Victoria's secret is for everyone..They keep the bigger sizes in the drawers.

Ladies, I have a big problem..I am very petite..5'1 and thin. Unfortunately I am a 38D. Trust me, this causes some problems clothes wise. I have to wear juniors on the bottom, but not on top! :D

A lot of **** companies think because you have big **** you don't want to be ****. I do...So I shop at Vicky's.

Well...almost like that song...got the Wal Mart ****, no man to appreciate it. LOL

LOL Sue..

The Walmart stuff doesn't fit me as well. I don't know what it is..And it's not that I'm being difficult, I've never had one last from there. Or pretty much anywhere for that matter. :(

I love my Secret Embrace's though...I have 6 of them...White, Cream, Black, Black with gold flowers Pink with light flowers, and a sky blue with embroidered butterflies. I bought it specifically because it has butterflies. Yes I know that hardly anyone will see it, but I know they're there...lol

Sure he can have another guitar as soon as he buys you a new car.

I want a new car right now which is why I dumped the trainer and paid a bill.

It would be nice to have a man buy me something. I haven't had many men buy me things because I am one of those independent women. But it would be nice for some man to buy me something these days. It would be nice to have a man these days. But then again, some of them are as much trouble as a payday loan, ya know.

Is Jeff ever coming back?

LOL Alexandra! Yes, single here. But, surprise, surprise, I have TWO gentlemen asking me out at this time. Not that any of the three of us have made it actually WORK yet. In fact, one of them just cancelled next week's tentative date this evening...he grovelled nicely enough, though, so I let him live. ;-)

Sue, you had two and I can't even get one!

I don't know if it is my charming personality or my fixation with sexy men on television, but I can't seem to attract the right one. I think it has to do with my eyebrows. I haven't had them arched yet, at least not in a while.

Ah, but the men here are so pathetic. They have too many women, too many men (yes, I said it) or too many kids by too many women. I can't find me a winner in the sea of losers.

What is a woman to do? Advice please.

Alexandra -

Do what I did. Give up. Then they come out of the woodwork when you least expect it! When I stopped looking and settled into being a single mom and devoting all my time to my kids, my house, my job, etc....then TWO of them started asking me out. Hadn't dated in over 2 years (and even then, it wasn't a long-term thing-over in 4 monts).

The only problem is that they're asking, but nothing is coming to pass yet. Something is always coming up for one or the other of us, and none of us can get our schedules to coincide.

I know that is why I am focused on helping individuals get out of debt on this message board and hopefully, true love will come rearing its beautiful head upon me.

I guess I am still hoping for Prince Charming to be on this white horse with a cowboy hat on his head ready to sweep me off of my feet with his perfect teeth and a big......bank account.

I have read way to many Nora Roberts and Sandra Brown novels over the years. Can't you tell?

Alexandra~ when you least expect it, things will happen and the next thing you know.... I went through a bad marriage and divorce from my first husband and I swore I would never ever get married again or get get involved with someone younger than me again, (ex was 2 years younger). I was working for this one company and my boss there decided me and this one guy should go out so he would go tell this guy I said he was cute, and this and that and then he would come tell me that this guy said he wanted to take me out, blah, blah, blah. This was, neither of us had said anything about the other person. In fact, I thought this guy was a snob and thought his stuff didn't stink. Well after a time, we went out (first date was to see Jurassic Park with my 2 kids sitting between us) Then one thing let to another and we got more and more involved and now married. Dated for 2 years before we got married. And he is 4 YEARS YOUNGER THAN ME!!! Been married since '99 and been together since '97.

Oh, and for the first time in several months, we went out to eat as a family at a restraunt yesteray. It was nice! Hopefully we will get to where we can do this a little more often. Won't be able to for a while again, but sure enjoyed it yesterday!

Yes...you can. My husband is actually the best guy I've ever known, besides my dad of course. I AM a daddy's girl, though. I just remember how, when I was single, it was so infuriating when guys would act like big babies and lie to try and make themselves seem better than they really were. One guy even tried to tell me he worked for the secret service. Uh....if you really DID work for them, I don't think you would be able to tell me, dummy. But, back to the point, I think guys are GREAT. Your logical, black and white minds even out our female brains that tend to overthink and over worry about stuff. You ground us when we get too off base and flighty. THere are faults in both sexes, but when we come together, it's a perfect fit. .......Why do I feel like I just wrote out a Hallmark Card? SAPPY!!!

I love these varied topics of discussion. Random, funny, and non offensive. It appears some people will always try to whip it up though. For what? To bad there is not an ignore person feature here like there is on AOL, so as the reader we would not have to see the posts from the people we don't want to see.

You know up until that last sentence I actually agreed with the original poster.

There is no quick and easy solution if you have substantial debt. Whether you decide to weather the storms and deal with creditors and their agents your self, or you go through a consolidator or counselor (who some of your creditors may refuse to deal with any way ), the fact of the matter is the solution is not easy, and it certainly won't happen overnight. But then most of us didn't just get in debt over night either.

Bankruptcy as an option? Sure, it's always an option, but (speaking from experience) it's no better or quicker a solution than anything else. Yes, it may stop the calls cold, but once it is dismissed, it will be used against you over and over. My bankruptcy will drop off my credit report in a few months, and to this day it is STILL used against me.

Are people that turn to BK losers? NO! a little uninformed maybe. Desperate or panicked? Definitely. If your are considering BK as an option, PLEASE be sure to research it thoroughly. Talk to those of us who have done it. DON'T listen to your lawyer when they tell you "it's no biog deal, you'll get CC offers within a few months", yeah you get the offers, but when you fill out the application and send it back you also get denied (except for high interest, excessive fee "rebuild your credit" cards that use up your whole credit line to pay their fees that you then make payments on.
