I spoke with someone this morning from Arrowhead Investments named Ron Reynolds. He was very rude to me called me a whole bunch of names and then threatened to make me pay 3,000 when my initial loan was only 300.00 This is my first communication with this company and I have not been in default and he immediately because he didn't like my attitude says that he will not accept any monies from me if I try to pay and that he is immediately putting my account in investigations. Can he do this? He claims I committed fraud on my application. This is not true. I was trying to repay the loan but now he is threatening me and he has left harrassing messages on my phone. What can I do to resolve this?

It is difficult when you receive collections calls like this and then to be treated so rudely makes it even worse. Try your hardest to consider the source and don't let him intimidate you. Sounds like puddlejmper has paved the way for you to get some results and to at least be treated with some respect. If you need encouragement you can always get some here on this forum--good luck!

People, people, people...Don't let these crooks scare you into giving them your money. Do not send them a dime without first sending them a letter of validation. If you do, the power becomes yours. They must then jump through hoops to legalize their calculations and they may drop it altogether, especially if you find out that they are not licensed to operate or collect in your state.

I guess it's just me then. I know I borrowed the money. My bank account got closed after they took out 1 fee. They haven't sent me to a CA yet. I feel as if I need to pay back what I borrowed. Otherwise it would be free money and in this world there is nothing for free. So yes I sent them 3/4 of what I owed them. I will be sending them the other 1/4 next month and they will be paid in full. Liz has been very nice to me and I will feel much better when I know I paid back what I borrowed. And this loan has been from Oct. of 06. And still never sent to CA. I WILL pay back the pdl's that will settle with me without threatening me. The ones that I have complaints against and are charging me 3 times the amount I borrowed I will not, until they settle for the amount I owe. (sorry just kinda of crabby at the moment. But that is how I feel)

I agree with that. That's why I refuse to pay the ones that are charging over what I originaly borrowed.
Most of the ones I took out were from oct.-nov. and my bank closed our account the end of nov. So they didn't get tons of roll over fees from me. They got maybe 1 or 2. And so far they have subtracted those amounts off from the orginal loan and thats what they offer me in a settlement. I agree if you pay well over what you borrowed in roll over fees and it comes to 3 times the amount of the original loan then it should be marked PIF.

Sorry about the last post, had a crabby moment here, all better now :)
