Hi jschaud,
Welcome to forums. There are certain rules for debt collectors and no one can violate these rules. According to fdcpa, the collectors can not threaten you and should produce something in writing to justify their demand. If they don't, the customer has all the rights to file a complaint against them. So, no more worry, you have FDCPA with you.
If you feel that you are unable to pay off multiple credit card debts, you can opt for a consolidation program and you won't be required to face the collection calls any more. The consultant will tactfully negotiate with your debt collectors keeping your interests protected.
Moreover, you will be paying one consolidated installment instead of multiple payments and all the late fees, over limit charges are going to be removed once you enter the program.
More information is available about the service at ???
