Well...I just took a long lunch and closed that account and opened another one. It is at the same bank, but the branch manager assured me that the pdl will not gain access to my new account. No one can force a closed account open, or debit an account without written permission for that particular account or a court order. I can breathe easy I guess. If not, the bank may be liable.
be very careful - i have had payday loan debits force open close
be very careful - i have had payday loan debits force open closed accounts. i'm not saying it will happen to you, i am just letting you know that some banks do have policies where the account can reopen. since you mentioned you talked to the manager, it should be okay though.
i don't mean to scare you, i just lost a lot of money to a loan i over-paid due to bank error in the past.

Yeah, I know. That's why I asked before I even closed the account and opened the other one.

Listen as soon as you take that block off, they attempt to debit and put you in the RED :? It is like these loan companies read minds...lol.
Do as the others said and close that account, then open completely new one at a New Bank! Best of Luck :P
For what it's worth, I wouldn't take it off either. You can nev
For what it's worth, I wouldn't take it off either. You can never be too cautious with these slugs. I am glad you opened another account. My bank promised me that they would protect my money as well. . . .they kept that promise. Still, keep an eye on everything for a while.
