While trying to negotiate one of my CC. ( i have been served and they want to take me to court) the lawyer said "I know how you can make this all go away but you have to ask for it, I'm not allowed to tell you"
What could she be talking about???
Any one ever hear this before?

I think you're talking about a collection agency with whom you tried to negotiate for settling the debt. Have they already sued you? If not, then let me tell you that it is a common practice of a collection agency to threaten a debtor by saying that they'll sue him.

Now, to start with, have you send them a debt validation letter? If not then please send it. You can get an idea to write a DV letter from these sample letters .

If they can't validate then send a cease and delete letter to them and also dispute wrong reporting to the credit bureau for removing it.
