another alias for US NATIONAL BANK.ignore the calls if you can
they.can't do anything.if they were going to file they would do it and not keep calling.do not return there calls.just don't talk to them.

I intend to ignore them, but their calls every morning between 7 and 7:30 AM are harassing. They call 3-7 times in a row! I want to file a complaint.

i would go FTC as they are getting a steady bit of them.just know these mopes are in INDIA and it will take a while for a complaint to take hold.

I have received the same calls as well as some of my friends all in the same manor mentioned above. The man that is conducting the calling is calling himslef John Peters but saying that he is in Jacksonville Fl. He is devolging my SSN, Bank Account info, threating "My Referances" to pay him money or they would be sued for fraud that I have committed. I have contacted the Jacksonville, Fl information, Chamber of Commerce and Better Buisness Bureau to which no one hase ever heard of the illeged company. The number that I was given is 800-860-1813 ext. 1026. Be ware!!!!!

Hey Got the same call. Who is this guy, he keeps calling me in rapid succession after I hang up. He says he is from United Nations Legal Department and wants me to call him back at 1-800-860-1813 ext. 1026. The next time he calls me I am going to answer the phone and give him hell.

These nice people found me and are trying to get me to believe I need to pay them to stop calling about a friend of mine. I pretended to be a lawyer ready to represent myself, and they kept getting indignant and transferring me back and forth. They went from saying my friend owed them to saying they needed my help to stop a scam on my friend. They hung up on me eventually.

I have gotten a call twice today from a man saying his name is Jack williams. He has a very thick accent (sounds like hes in a call center in INDIA). He has my name and says that there is an important case against me and I need to call him back the second I get his message. He called me back again and left a message and said I need to call him back and if I want to know anything about the case I need to call in and give my social security number to him to verify it's me. He said the last four digits of my social security number are.... and he got them right. He said if I don't call him back as soon as possible I will have to face the legal consequsences.

The thing is, I've had collections calls before and they are ALWAYS from people who can speak English very well, the messages are never as detailed as these have been- usually they ask you to call them at an 800 number and its important that you speak to them asap, and usually they call a few times before bringing a legal case on you. Today is the first I've ever heard of this company- United Nations Legal Department.

It seemed extremely sketchy so that's why I did a search on them.

The number I'm supposed to call back is 760-514-0175. Is this a part of the same scam? What should I do?

I have gotten this call a few times. Usually every few months, one day only, and a lot of times. Same stuff, thick accent, harrassing, calling my friends, even got my jobs work number.

I would suggest that anyone that reads this just let them call. Leave you a dozen messages, and let it pass. They can not conduct themselves in this manner. No 'proper' business uses these techniques. I have heard some rich stuff from collectors in the past, but these guys put the icing on the cake.

I asked him why he kept dodging my questions and he replied that he couldn't give me any information about his company or himself unless I gave him my information. I then told him if he didn't tell me the company name and his name right now that I was calling my county scam division office and would file a complaint for them to look into the phone call. He then told me the company name, United Nations Legal Department, and I thanked him, hung up and called the scam division in my county. This is a huge scam. Do not fall for it and please get as much info from them that you can and call your own county scam division.

I also found it odd that when I told him I was going to call and report that his company was trying to scam me he didn't deny it!

i have gotten hundreds of calls with the same threats, from a thick accent man calling himself John Dawson phone #202-706-7324 and 202-706-5212. I ask for proof of who he was representing, he said i needed to make payments first then thay would send that info in the mail. they scared me i gave them a pre-paid debit card number, that they cannot get money from, when i check who is withdrawing money, is from a mall shopping account.

These same people call me every month and call 10 to 15 times in a row even though I have told them to stop. They say I am being sued for an internet payday loan, which is quiet funny since I have never had one. They called me uneducated, ingnorant, stupid and more because I refused to give them what they wanted and ended up arguing with the them. Every time I hung up they would call right back. Harassing is putting it mildly. No company can call people names like that. They won't give me a number and the number that shows up on my caller ID is only 444-198 so I can't call it back or complain. They said they are united nations legal departement which tells you in itself they are a scam. Very thick accents and no one can speak plain english. Any suggestions on how to find them? I am not going to be talked to like that from some idiot from another country.

I have recvd the same call with all the same crap and at first he called stating he was Frank Murphy wait Im sorry he said he was OFFICER Frank Murphy and all the same stuff that was listed above that I owe for a pay day loan and that there are warrants out for my arrest and other legal stuff. I called back and saw the number was from Turks and Caicos the number was 649-309-4402 so I knew it was a scam that was back on August 11, 2010. Tonight just 10 minutes ago he called again this time from 619-309-4402 a California number. But as you can see the area code is the only thing that changed. I recognized this friggin jerkoffs voice so I played the August 11ths voice mail again and it was identical. Today when I answered he had the last four digits of my social security card which at first I thought was ligit then he said that I owe from a PDL. I filled out online for one back in the summer but never went through with it and apparently I got wrapped up in this scam as well and they got my info. I wish I never did it but was at a low point and needed money and now I am thankful I didnt go through with it all the way. If they do call you my advice dont answer or get a fog horn answer and blow out his India ear. i wish I could get my hands around this frigs neck. The law is that no debtor by law can harass you like this stating you owe money and also they cant arrest you for not paying back ANY loan. My advice is dont bother blocking the number the best thing to do is change your number since as you can see this ass has many numbers he calls off of. So your best bet is to change the number. I am doing it tomorrow. Im done with this ocnod.....LMAO Ok sorry for being pissy but as I said he just called me so Im upset to say the least. I have received multiple messages from a 315-551-5643. The caller claims to be an OFFICER Paul White, claiming that a law suit has been filed against my name and social security number. I attempted to call back the number on my caller id, and surprise, suprise...the call would not go thru. A different "direct line" for "Mr. White" has been left on each message. On the latest message my ENTIRE nine digit social security number was left on the voicemail. I called back to also have the phone answered as "hello" and was transferred to someone going by the name of George Miller. "Mr. Miller" claimed to be the supervisor of Paul White, who he claims is an officer of their law firm, United Nations Legal Dept.He could not answer whether or not a suit had been filed and would only say that I took out a PDL & never repaid their client. They would not provide the name of the PDL or any alleged amount owed. I informed him that providing my personal priviledged information was illegal and I would be turning over this matter to the attorney general. I also stated that nothing documenting this alleged debt has ever been sent to me via the US Mail, as required by Fair Debt Collection Practices in the USA. He stated in 4-5 business days he would send a representative of his company to my home (and provided my address). I told him that he would not make contact with me at my home, as this was also illegal, and that IF he wanted ANY payment he would send me written proof of this alleged debt in the US Mail. He stated that because it was an electronic transaction, (and quoted bogus law) that he did not have to provide any proof or documentation until this was first sent to the court. He stated a deputy would come to my home and he would see me in court because he was going to forward this for processing in California. I think he broke every law relating to Fair Debt Collection Practices in this country. IF they do file, I am a single mother and was laid off (downsizing) a few months ago. I have NO money for anybody to take.

I'm getting calls from a Matt Smith. The number is (607) 595-1741. This guy was a total A-HOLE!! I told him that I had Goggled this United Nation Legal Department and knew that is was a scam and he was an idiot if he thought I was giving him any of my information.

I received a call from Officer Watson HA! HA! What a joke. Could not understand hardley anything he was saying. All I got was I am sending the police to arrest you for something that I was supposed to have done. That he had the last four digits of my social and was going to make sure that I paid them to solve the suit that was filed against me . The terminolgy that he was using was absolutley rediculous! My first instinct was to do research on this absurd call. This company is fraudulent(United Nations Legal Department) !!!! I called them back ask to speak to their supervisor, I told them that the call was being recorded and traced. And that I have notified the Attorney Generals Office and the BBB of their activiites. Also I let them know that it is against the law in our country to call people at work if they were told not to. So far it has been a few days so hopefully they got the message. I informed them also that I wish they would take me to court!! He got very upset with me and told me to stop repeating what my intentions were and wished that I would have a blessed day and hung up! What a joke!

I too just got off the phone with these people, the persons I spome to were (Officer Jones, and Daniel White) both with very heavy accents. They told me that someone took out a payday loan and used my name as a reference. Mr. White advised me that if I wanted to clear my name I needed to go to the court house. When I asked he what court house I was supposed to go to he told me the one in New York. He's calling from Santa Barbara Ca. But I have to go to a court house in New York......Here is the number in which he called from 8.5.308.4374. And last week Ofc. Jones called from a totally different number.

Definately a scam. Theyve been calling my co worker for two days. We enjoy responding "I KNOW UNDASTAND?!" in our own thick fake accents when they call. It brightens up my day a little to watch them get so frustrated. I also called back yesterday and asked if they had pick up or delivery. They didn't appreciate that either. Or when I used my best AHHHNOLD impersonation. Haha they're jokes.

Do not answer or call these people back under any circumstance. They obtain their information from payday and title loan companies and they keep calling to say the person is in danger (whoever initially was loaned the money). But answering or responding to them only means excessive communication moving forward.

I have been receiving calls all week, they call my home, cell, relatives, work, they threaten to make me lose my job or tell me I have to go to court and when I say where they hang up on me... it gets very embarrassing and exhausting to hear they have called everyone with their gimmick. I have received online loans in the past and have made good on them by setting up payment plans with the real lender and have stuck with the plans.

The latest number is 270-681-2578 from fulton, KY...

I have received numerous calls from this same number.Almost everyday, I get a call from them. I have stopped answering the phone when this number shows up. They have not called me form a different number as yet. I tagged this as a scam as soon as they said they were in CA, with that heavy accent. The same story about an online somethin gI bought and did not pay for. When I asked why no one has sent any documentation with Attorney letterhead, they said it was because the law suit had not yet been filed. They were trying to avoid the court action by allowing me to pay a reduced amount, I told them I wanted to go to court, so I could face my accusers. This upset them a bit much. Finally, it became a shouting match, with me telling them " LET'S GO TO COURT"!!!!. They ung up on me.:D

United Nations Legal Dept. SCAM:: This is a SCAM !!! Do not give these people any money. Do not give them a credit card number. They will have some info about your S.S. number, however, DO NOT give them any more info. They will tell you they are taking you to court. Tell them " LET"s GO TO COURT"!!. They will stop calling for awhile, then start up again. Best thing to do is not answer the phone when that same number shows up in your caller ID. They will also use different numbers when calling. Anytime you get some one with a heavy accent...HANG UP !!!! DO not talk to them.

I had a man named Mack Johnson call me twice; once at my job (where he left a creepy voicemail message ending in "if you or your attorney fail to call, well all I can say is Good Luck." and then he called my cell phone. He told me that I was being sued by the federal government. I asked him what company he is from, and he replied United Nations Legal Department. He informed me that I was facing three charges, and I can avoid being sued if I made a payment to them. They gave me some bogus companies that I apparently owed money to. I told them that I was not going to fall for their fraudulent tactics. He then hung up on me. I called from a different number and gave him an earful, and before he hung up he told me I was harassing him and to never call him again!! How funny!! Do not fall for this crap. Do your research on these fools!!!

OMG, I have received phone calls from this same company. One number is so called based in California. 760-933-8612, the other is based in Missouri - 573-340-5662.

The first number I got them to stop calling me. Told them if they called my numbers again I was pressing charges against them.

Now today I received one call at my work and 14 calls on my cell phone. They say the same thing, they have my SS# (the last 4 digits) my address, my work info, my bank info. They told me I have charges against me for fraud, theft by deception. ETC.

I told the guy to stop calling my numbers and if I owe someone money to send the information to my address. He started calling a little B _ _ _ _! I flipped on this man. Then he proceeds to tell me what he would like to do to me. I called my local police department and they are coming out tonight to take all my information down. They stated that they will either callt he numbers I have or have the local jurisdication see where this might be coming from.

Hopefully the calls stop. I was shaking and everything. I have never been spoken to like that before. All my creditors that I have owed money too have always worked something out and never threaten people like that.

Please people beware. I am so ready to close my bank account out and put an alert on my credit. I dont have the best credit but dang.

I received the same call this morning and gave them an earful and they eventually ended the call by saying he would see me in court. I immediately went to the Federal Trade Commission's website to file a complaint. Here's the details of what I provided to the FTC.

I received a call with "unknown" as the caller ID, and answered to a man with a very thick foreign accent. He stated that I had requested a payday advance loan, and that the loan was issued to me and it has now been 45 days and I haven't repaid the loan. I asked to speak to his supervisor after repeatedly informing him I would not confirm nor deny any of the personal information he had asked me. After a few moments he very rudely "transferred" (there wasn't an actual transfer in the phone system, the caller just set the phone down and someone else picked it up because he did not even put me on hold) me to someone by the name of David Johnson. Mr. Johnson also asked me to verify some personal identifying details, which I refused to do so. Mr. Johnson continued to state that I had received a payday advance loan from a company on the internet and I had defaulted on the loan resulting in legal action being taken against me. At this point I let Mr. Johnson know that I did not apply for nor did I accept any payday advance loan at which time he gave me a file number to reference, DCF487215. I informed Mr. Johnson that had this been a real legal case against me, I would be served in person not on the phone and that I needed his contact information so I could have my lawyer call him to discuss further. Mr. Johnson replied that he had no choice but to have his legal team proceed with the law suit and that I would be notified of which court house I would need to appear at. He went on further to threaten me that if this did indeed proceed, that I would be held responsible for the $5,000+ for all legal fees. I let Mr. Johnson know this is a mistake and the response I received was 'how did his company, UNLD or United National Legal Department which is a division of the federal government, have a legal affidavit with my name and contact information on it?'. I realized this was a scam as soon as they asked me to confirm the last 4 digits of my SSN and my email address, of course I didn't confirm nor deny that the information stated was mine. I should point out that almost 2 months ago I had filled out a form on www.lendingtree.com to see if I would qualify for any personal loans, but I did not accept any offers although I did receive in my spam folder numerous emails stating that I had been approved for certain loans. I am currently unemployed so I would never even begin to consider obtaining a payday advance loan, since obviously I do not have any upcoming paydays. I have searched online and there appears to be many complaints about United National Legal Department with similar circumstances. I am sure the phone number given to me is simply a US based number which forwards to an overseas phone number. This is a clear case of harassment and a violation of my privacy that my contact information, along with my apparent social security number was shared with a company without my knowledge or consent.

I recieved a call from Officer Bernard Daffeny, told me he was a real police officer....hahaha!!!! Called my work, said he was going to send someone over to have me arrested....I told go ahead.Its been about an hour....Still waiting hoooo hummmm!!! When he called the number that popped up was 1. Then he called my worked from unknown. His number which I was allowed to get was 818-232-0925...Very Strong accent...

This people called my cell and office a guy named James with an Indian accent left me a brutal message that he had court papers for me because of an online loan I submitted???
They had my name, last four SS number, and called me at my office and cell. I told him I didn't know what he was talking about and that I was going to ask my lawyer to call him. He asked me for my lawyers phone number which I completely ignored and told me he was going to wait for the call. This people are insane and something should be done about these scams on another level!

I got a call at 1 pm yesterday from a guy with an Indian Accent, saying:
"Hi This message is intended for Molly Stein. Molly, this is it is attorney Daniel Brown (could quite make out the name through the accent) from the UNITED NATIONS LEGAL DEPARTMENT/ I need to inform you about a legal financial matter filed against your name and social security number. Molly, before I take legal and serious actions against you, and you end up in a big mess, please do give me a call, so that I am able to assist you with something good!. Please do give me a call at 210 267 2343. Molly, I repeat, my call back number is 210 267 2343. Have a nice day!! SCAMOLA!!!!

I received a call early this morning around 6 am and it was from a guy named Justin. He had a very thick accent and with everything going on in Egypt i got kind of concerned as i know a few people who live over there. He left a message at first and stated that i needed to call him back or else i would have to "face the consequences that were ahead" i called him back and he proceeded to tell me that i "had an outstanding interest" of $100.11 from a payday loan i had received. I told him that was impossible because i paid them back in full and i also received 2 email conformations from the company saying my account was paid off. He said "yes, i know you paid it..but this is intrest that wasn't paid". I asked him how was it that there was a seperate interst charge that i didnt know about? and he couldn't provide an answer. i asked him which company i had gotten the loan from and he couldnt provide an answer.. all he said was that he was calling from Instant cash who was the parent company of other loan sites. He told me my information, and i neither confirmed it or denied it, and he said that he would be emailing me the information about my account....it has been almost 12 hours and i havent gotten anything yet.

The thing that got me thinking was i used to work for a catalog company and we had 6 different catalogs. Even though we were the same company when we called people or people called us we (the employees) could ALWAYS tell the customer which catalog they were ordering from. And they should be able to do the same..so yes this is def a scam. Pissing me off too early in the damn morning.

I to received a phone call the number now is 805-290-1945 they had my name ssn and they told me They stated I had gotten a payday loan and refused to pay it for the amount of 800.00 they stated I needed to pay it now or get me a lawyer bc I would be spending 6 years in jail for fraud so please be AWare of this!! When my lawyer husband contacted them back and told them he was representing me they hung up on him!! BE AWARE!!

i am to being scam by this company calling themselves the united nations legal department the person who keeps calling me is ed with a accent as well, iit is really upseting they say i own money from a online loan company, went to my bank and there has never been no money depoist to my bank from any loan company, and i have the papers to prove it, they said my bank is lying. now they are threating to have my arrested. please give some advice.

Dont worry about it its just a SCAM and do not send them or give them any information or agree with them inreference to your SS #

They bare scaming to. they called 2-17-11 said i owed a loan from titan group llc. which never got. she told me part of ssn# and bank info. said i took out lone 6-3-10 using a email address i didnt have for 2yrs. and the bank she claim i got money deposited i didnt have at that time. i asked for number to the titan group said she couldnt do it was against the law, she told me i should of read my email. which i didnt have that email address.. i got the number to the titan group thru a debt consolitaion company. and called them to verify. they ran my name and so called email and nothing came up.i do not owe. so i called james jones broomfield back lady said it was cause it was charged off and they wouldnt have info on it.she couldnt even tell me the amount supposedly borrowed. but said they would settle for $ 495.00 BEWARE ANOTHER SCAM 904-683-7460

i continue to get calls from United Nations Legal Dept. Assistant Attorney John Davis, John Taylor, and Senior Attorney mac Taylor. Said I owed them 710.00. They are very persistant in calling, told me that if i didnt call them back in 45 minutes, that i would have 2 police officers at my door from my local police station to arrest me for 3 counts of fraud. Threatened my job and everything. Why do people do this stuff? What gives them the right to HARRASS people like they do? What can I do about it?

i have forwarded all correspondence to my attorney. the affidavit i was given via email was a suit filed from the state of california, orange county, but the phone number was from New York. weird.

same story here. my caller id says its from yonkers n.y. # 914-595-5945. i called back at mid-night, and it went straight to a default cell phone voicemail.

I have also been a victim to these scammers the are hackers that get your info from online loans etc... They called and torment you and leave messages in frustration mad because you did not answer. They have called my relatives claiming they will prosecute them for being a lien holder on a loan I had got and paid off a long time ago. I had a guy name Ricky Woods call me from a 6075951745 number this saying he was with the united nations legal dept so if see that number its a scam I have called the BBB and they know nothing of this business. I also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Comission and the called the state comission office and filed a complaint and even talked to the pd dept everyone should do the same and maybe we can stop them n the harrassment.

I think I'm going to give them a fake account, just to see what happens and get the bank to track them down by giving them some infornmation ... then send in my CaIlvery of FBI agents " Family of Black Imtimdators" to pay them a visit!!

Same story here. These people/criminals will not leave me alone. They call my work several times a day and tell my co workers they are sending someone to arrest me. It's embarrasing. They need to be stopped.

I just received a call from some guy with a heavy Indian Accent saying that I owed $300 for a cash loan I took out in November of 2010, I have never EVER done that and told me to call this number 716-241-1765. He had my name and email address and an old home address and said that he was filing something in court for fraud. I DONT KNOW WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT. Should I involve a Federal Agency or local law enforcement.

i started getting these calls about two months ago. i was searching for an online cash advance, and that's how they got my info. just today they called me at work, before it's always been at home or my cell phone. the first guy was incomprehensible because along with the very heavy accent there was so much background noise it was nearly impossible to hear anything. i got transferred to another guy who said his name was "Officer Eric Mathews" in New York. really? i watch that show, i'm not stupid. then i got transferred again but to a woman who said she was from United National Law Department and there was a complaint filed against me. i got their number from my caller id, and my attorney is trying yet again to get them.
