If you have already paid off the account, then you may dispute the account status either with the Home Depot or with your credit bureau. However, as far as I know, even if the closed account is paid off in full, it will still be reported on your credit report. You may send a Goodwill letter to the bank and request them to delete the listing from the credit report.
