I'm preparing to file Chapter 7 (pro se) and I have a question as it regards Unexpired leases:

I share a lease with my roommates and I wish to continue to "assume" the lease after my discharge (hopefully!) When filling out the form how I do indicate that I wish to continue assuming the lease? Will this also come up in my 341 meeting with the trustee?

When you file a bankruptcy, there is an option where you can continue with the lease even after getting a discharge. When you are sharing a lease with your roommate, you will have to move out of the property if you decide to reject the lease. Even then, in most cases, you'll be responsible for any unpaid rent before you filed bankruptcy.

Have you filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy or Chapter 13? Do you have any other apartment or just this one? Pro se is difficult, Do you know bankruptcy laws very well?
