Today as I was googling 'illegal payday loans' I ran across a website called www.cashadvancecare.com and I noticed quite a number of similarities between the website that I was on, and www.debtconsolidationcare.com. I started looking around, and notice how very similar the format was, and how the administrator named 'clark' signs his threads 'regards'.

I proceeded to pull a who is report and this is the information that I found:

128 Forest Hill Road
Kalispell, MT 59901

This address can also be found on cashadvancecare.com's contact us page.

THIS IS A FICTITIOUS ADDRESS!

Addresses start at 130 Forest Hill Road, as there is a mobile home community directly north. http://gis.mt.gov/

The who is report for this website lists the phone number for this website as being 406-756-8680, which belongs to a lady named Jean Shaw who lives quite aways North of this fictitious address.

I proceeded to view the privacy report which indicated that there is an image being used from .visitlab, owned by 'Vikas'.

Essentially Vikas owns cashadvancecare.com where he uses similar business practices as he does here, in that he is getting paid a referral bonus from Payday Loan Companies when people join that website.

Then, the poor souls who use that service can potentially come over here where Vikas can get paid for yet another referral from a debt consolidation Company.

I am certain that I am not the only one who sees the HYPOCRISY in this playing for both teams type of business. I cannot in good conscience continue to give one more moment of my time to this website, knowing the things that I have learned today.

Vikas, you may revoke the title of moderator from me, and remove my blog from your server.

To all of my cyber fam. I will miss you tremendously.

To everyone I will search and find in the very near future a new venue to promote ending PDL's, and helping people who are in trouble with PDL's. Just google pollyandsay and in time you will find me.

Peace to all of you.

Polly

I haven't read through all the posts but I can understand why some people have felt shocked and hurt because I was one of them. I truly don't understand the intention of the other websites, to me there seems to be some conflict in this. As far as a family, yes we are one. Although, I'm not around as much as I used to be, I consider people on here to be my friends. They helped me through one of the darkest financial messes in my life and friendships blossomed from that. A couple of weeks ago, I had a couple of great friends cheer me up in chat and lift my spirits because my mom was recently diagnosed with cancer. There was concern for me which I truly appreciated. I was able to laugh and chuckle. So, this is more than just a forum or website to me. When I read Polly's initial post, I was floored. Yes, I am one that believes Vikas does care about the posters here because he has shown concern for me on certain issues that I've had. I've also liked the comments on sticking it out and seeing how things develop with the other sites. New people come here every day seeking answers and help to their financial problems. People come here seeking relief more and more from the payday loan industry. Yes, if you have ever been caught in that trap, it can be an emotional disaster along with any type of debt. These are only my opinions but I've found them to be true for a lot of us. I too am skeptical but I do not intend to run away and abandon others who need help.

Hi to all members,

Sorry for the delay as I was busy modifying the other sites. I have modified http://www.cashadvancecare.com and http://www.ampmcash.com to reflect my words. I am still working on it to remove pages which are not going with the theme. As a family member, please let me know if some bad pages are still left. This is indeed a depressing moment for me. I want to ask one question to our members:

Do you still think I ran or am running a payday loan site and as few said playing both sides of the fence?

Polly, the day anyone can show me, today or tomorrow, that I got a penny through a payday loan referral I will quit everything myself. It really hurts when I am blamed to be playing on both sides, when it is very much evident from the site that it never had a business. It hardly takes a day or two to make a website work; a site with no activity and cluttered with spam for months speaks for itself. All I want to repeat is that I never had and never ever will have an association with payday loan. Do let me know if there is anything I can do further to clear the confusions.

Vikas can do as he wishes! This is his domain, as are the others in question. We are just visitors.

I never controlled anything. I did the work as per community's requirements. I just wanted to provide a platform which can be used. I talk to my friends about our community activities and it has become a part of my life and my family. In every family such confusions occur and as members we try to solve the issue by explaining our part.

I appreciate everyone for keeping the faith. Also I am happy that the question was asked in public and I was given an opportunity to explain my part. I surely want to have a talk with Polly so that I can explain her things one to one. I am still waiting for her permission.

Regards,
Vikas

CONGRATULATIONS! You have succeeded in turning this very helpful website into a "members only" place. It is just incredible how 5 or 6 or you sit in judgement of everyone who does not share your opinion. I realize you think of each other as family and are very emotional but this is a website for help not for ganging up on people who don't agree with you. Don't even bother telling me to come of hiding (guest) and show my true self because that is not what I beleive this web site is about. Don't lose site of what this site is for. Maybe one of you should start your own site.

Thanks all-YEA I get to go to a paty amd eat cake!!! Hope I am around for the next one,if not,eat two pieces for me and hugs to all.My car broke down today in another town-27 miles-and it was 104 degrees here. After three and a half hours and them saying it would be $111.00,I got towed home. The Gods were smiling down though, turns out the guy that towed us from another town lives 3 blocks from us.He cut the miles in half and only charges us $34.00,it was thirty four I would not have liked to spend, but better than the other quote! So the next few days don't know how much I'll be here, trying to get car fixed.Hugs till then :D ...Karen

Okay, what I'm getting from this is that Vikas wants to offer an alternative to payday loans by implementing a system where the "community" will lend and borrow from each other without the extortionate interest charges, scare tactics to collect, etc. Am I right? Even though we don't want to get mixed up further with pdls, people need emergency money sometimes, no matter how well you budget.

So am I on the right track or missing something?

I also feel the same and there is no harm having such motive. We get shivers whenever we hear the word 'payday loans'. And bells strike when we hear someone known from here doing such business. But, it's good that confusions have fallen apart.

If such a site occurs for help, some people can form their own groups. Let me analyze it hypothetically about what can be expected in the future. - Whenever someone in the group of the site faces financial crisis, another member close to him in that group can lend him money during emergency. Imagine, you are asking money from your closest friend online in the group. There is no lender or any other superior power like we have in the payday loan industry. We ask from our friends or relatives. The difference is that it will be done online within the community. Did I get it right???

After having read the wikipedia entry Vikas linked to on the Grameen Bank, I really kind of came off the fence on this. I don't know if it will work (at least in the US), but I think its a very interesting idea, and it could be an interesting experiment. If some people benefit in the mean time, all the better.

There are some HUGE questions to be addressed and policy and procedural decisions to be made. In determining those issues, please draw on the experiences of the DCC community to help guide you.

Vikas, it seems that now that people have had a chance to read some of the info you have provided and absorb what you have presented, they seem a little more understanding and willing to see what you are trying to do. I for one am all for giving you the chance to try and put your idea in play (though I think it will take longer than 6 months to accomplish) and would be interested in helping in any way I can.

To address www.cashadvancecare.com. Since it appears that site will be dedicated solely to consumer education on cash advances (or what ever other term they try to use to pretty up an ugly pig), I would like to make a few suggestions.

There has been a TREMENDOUS AMOUNT of research done by several members of this community, notably Pollyandsay, and Mishele (but not exclusively, sorry to those I don't name, there have been MANY contributors). Ask them to consolidate and organize much of their information to resent on that site. Ask them to function as moderators on that site. I also would be willing to act as a moderator on that site as well.

For example a forum on that site could address individual state laws and where to find them and enforce them, similar to the creditors and collectors data base here).

Prominently link from DCC to CAC and also from AMPM to CAC.

Try to guide discussion regarding PDL's towards CAC to consolidate in one area and allow DCC to address other collections, consolidations, etc Issues.

I am actually kind of excited to see how these two sites can evolve, and what you have in store for AMPMCash specifically. If i can help in any way , please feel free to let me know.

As a non member guest, I would like to say a few things to Polly. Your information over the past months has helped me more than you can imagine in my goal of getting out of my PDL mess. I am out of it now and could NOT have done it without your help. Even though some have called me a "hider" because I was not a member, you never ever made me feel I was not one of your community. I wish you well and hope to see your back soon. Can one of you members who speaks to her let her know for me? Thank you very much.
