Has anyone had any transactions with this pay-day loan "company", located out of Reno, NV? I've explained to them, literally seven times, in the past 24 hours, that I'm working with a debt consolidation company, who will be contact them to set up a payment plan, and they are calling, over and over again. Now they've reached the point, when calling me at work, while I was in the restroom, and my boss answered the phone, of accusing her of lying for me and refusing to put the call through to me. I've told everyone who calls, from this company to call my home or cell, but they continue to call my company and I'm really worried that their harassment of my co-workers, not to mention manager, are going to jeopardize my job... Help!

Cindy, have you clarified this entry with your bank? Ask the ACH department to put a stop payment on the unauthorized debits. This might be helpful.

Your personal information might have been shared if you ever visited a payday loan site. Also send a letter to Roadside pal and get it refunded. If this debit has taken place without any reason, you are sure to get it refunded.

Hi monchichik86

Welcome to the board!

Its better that you have not taken any loan from Cash Today. They are using an illegal network in collecting money from peoples' checking accounts. Most of the people here have complained that Cash Today has been doing unauthorized debits and fail in resolving disputes.

After reading the posts about Cash Today in this forum, you will realize that you have made a good move of not to do business with them. Keep yourself informed before making any financial deal with a company. It's better to do some research and know about that company.

Roxette

hope this sorts out most of the needs :D

Since I am not the only person here that has been scammed by roadside pal. There are other options, you can file a formal complaint with the FBI internet fraud division, they will research this companies business practices to make sure they cannot keep operating this way.

the problem is that all the forms that you sign at the begining ALLOW for them to harrass you..

Dont' take out these loans if you can't pay. I've never had a problem with them or anyone else for that matter because i know how much I can handle.

I applied online to cash2day4u as i was referred to them by a reputable company. I got a call saying i was approved and when i called they verified my info and stated they were recording the convo for contractual purposes. Then the same night 3 other people called stating my info was not in the computer and they needed my SS#, bank #, etc. I said no because i thought it was something funny going on. The next day, someone named Samantha emails me stating my loan was declined. The same day, i got 4 phone calls at work and 3 when i got home. This company never put any money in my account and keeps calling me all hours of the day and night telling me that i was approved and they just need my bank numbers and social security number agai.

These people keep calling me and I never took out a loan with them. They keep calling my cell phone, home and work demanding why I dont want the loan with them. I have told them countless times to stop damn calling me and they still do. I filed a complaint about cash today limited to the federal trade commission. Its so sad because I have cussed these people out and they act like they dont understand what leave me the hell alone means. If they call me again demanding why I dont want a loan with them Im going to tell them that I filed a complaint with the federal trade commission and it is now illegal for them to continue to call and harass me.

I also took out a loan with them. Everything was going fine, even though I was paying $51 dollars a week to extend it. Then one week or two I was overdrawn and the problems stsrted I finallty made a payment arrangement and they took it out. Then they wanted more. A guy called me at home and was so rude, then anotherguy called the end of September at my job I explained what happened he put me on hold came back and then said I was paid up and the account closed. A month later I get a call from the a another one asking me if I had trouble anyone there and I said yes,he said not too worry and he would be my contact person.I told him someone very nice took care of me and my accountwas closed. He then told me impossible and gave a dollar figure of$500 and more to pay to clear up this loan. I know I had paid $230 and all those fees. I told I would not give one more penny unless they sent me a ststement,on line or by mail. H e then told to get a pre-paid debt card rpm the post office for $59. H e said the $500 was a fake bill? I told him not too go into my checking account asI had no money in it,which I didn't he also got rude with me but said he wanted to work with me and not give him any trouble, They went into my account for all kinds of withdrawls but got nothing .They have not sent me a statement or called I never understood how the bill kept going.I am so glad I found other people who are involved at some point

I am involved with them. They were debiting me for the $59 dolars. Then they set up a payment and I had so many other things clearing that their payments started bouncing. I paid $230,I 'm sure of so many people otnasty with me.Then a guy called me on my job and I explained everything and he said my account was closed. Then a month later a real nasty one called me at home and work and tried to make an agreement when my account was closed. Then a guy called me asked me if I hada complaint about someone I ssid yes he said he was an investigator no one else would bother me but I owed $4oo when they hadn't tried to yake out anything in a month. I asked them for a statement which I never got .He told me to send $59 on a postal debit card that the $400 plus was just a fake payment. I SENT THEM NOTHING AND THEY WENT BACK INTO MY CHECKING ACCOUNT FOR ALL KINDS PF AMOUNTS. nOW TYODAY THEY JUST CALLED FOR$600 we got down to $400 and finally $300. I guess I'm lucky considering .Thi time I stayed very calmand slightly sarcastic. Thi guy said he did noy want to back and forth and when I call to set up the final debit card to adk for Eunice.

Hi Tiffany55

Welcome to the forums.

I am glad to hear that you are firm with not taking a loan from Cash Today. Do not take a loan from them as they keep harassing people for various reasons.

Have you registered in their Do not call list so that the telemarketing calls are put to a stop. If not, this is what you should do. Call them and request to take your name out from their system.

Also, you can put an 'Opt Out' status in your credit report against this company. This will stop all the pre-approved loan offers coming at your end. If you wish to opt out, contact the credit bureau and request for opt out.

Regards
Roxette

Margaret

Cease and desist letter is your Federal right as per the fdcpa law and it is sent to stop all the collection calls coming at your home, work or any other place of contact.

After you have sent this letter to the collection agency, they are required to stop corresponding with you. If they do contact after receiving your letter, it will result in a violation of the federal law and you are in charge of taking legal actions against them. Consult your attorney if it gets violated.

Have you given your bank account details to them? Even if you have not given any info, you can close the checking account right now and prevent any of such illegal activities.

Moreover, payday lenders share information about consumers with each other. So, your personal information is not safe if you visited a payday loan site.

Do not fear if you can take precautions from today. Always research about any loan company on forums like this and get their accurate picture.

Hi traci0222

Welcome to the forums.

Since you are not willing to close your checking account right now, have you talked to your bank on this matter. I think you should be able to put a stop payment on any of such payments. Talk to the ACH department and see if you can arrange this thing.

Next time when they call you, ask them to take your name out from their system. Register in their do not call list and get confirmed from them in writing that they have successfully registered for it.

Also, keep a check on your credit report. You will be able to keep a check on it regularly. You can also opt out from the pre-approved loan offers by contacting your credit bureau for this purpose.

Hope any of these works at your end. Please do let us know all on this matter.

Hi TILLYE

Welcome to the forums.

Right now, you can close your checking account and stop them from hitting your account. Call your bank and get this thing done. Later, this company will try to contact you. At that time, you can ask for a complete statement showing the loan repayments. It will be evident from that statement that you have paid more on this account and should insist for a refund.

You can wait for that negotiation to happen but presently, you have to stop these debits by closing your account.

I too have had problems with this company. Back in Oct. they said they wanted to make a paydown loan and I agreed with them taking $80 for the next four paydays. I specifically asked them if anything would come out of our account the next day and he said no since it was too late. The next day they took 2 $79 payments out of our account. I called them and they said all they could do was take one of the payments off the end. Even though it totally screwed me up that week and caused me to overdraw my account. And now since we missed our very last payment of $80 last week due to me being unable to work because of a wreck they called my husband at work late night telling him that we owed $400.00....and they would not let him off the phone until he agreed to what they wanted but I'm going to call them and tell them they cannot do that and I will make sure the money isn't there or I'll close the account out....they are very rude and they definitely harrass people. I hope no one ever borrows money from them....

I really wish that I would have done some research before applying. It's not like me not to do so but i was a little desperate this weekend. I just applied yesterday and was approved but they haven't deposited the money yet. I called my bank but I can't close my checking account because I have other pending transactions.

I have a question. Are these all complaints from people who are not able to pay their loans right away? I will not need any extensions so I wonder if I will face a similar situation or they will deduct the full amount if I let them know at least 3 days in advance as requested. I haven sent an email to Darren and Samantha to cancel my loan but I don't know if I will be successful.

any help would be appreciated.

Well after I posted my original message, I received a telephone message from a representative from the company confirming that my loan was cancelled as per my email request and that I wouldn't have to worry about anything. I sent a stern email and it worked. I think everyone needs to handle their individual situations in similar manners. Be composed but be very stern and to the point. No outbursts or signs of weakness can be revealed because they will use it to their advantage. Well thanks to this forum I have averted a potential problem for me. I will not be borrowing any money and use this as a lesson to handle my finances in a more efficient manner.

Thanks to you all for your postings and good luck to those who still need their problems resolved.

Dee

Hi Dee

Welcome to the forums

You have been fortunate enough to pull yourself out from this cash4u2day loan scam. This company has been scamming a lot of people and making unauthorized debits in their accounts.

If you would not have got the email regarding loan cancellation by now, I would have suggested the same to you just like many others would have. Now that the loan has been cancelled, I will still advice you to keep a check on your bank accounts. They have your banking information and will try to pull money from your accounts. If this happens, you will find yourself in lots of troubles. Talk to your bank and explain what has happened with you. They will keep a watch if this company tries to debit from your account.

All the best.

Hi everyone, I wanted to share my phone conversation I just had with cash today ltd. I told them my bank account was frozen and asked if they would take a money order and he said no. He asked if I had a credit card, yeah right! So I said no. He said I could buy a prepaid credit card at the post office and use that. He also said you can get them at walmart. Do they have walmart's in the UK :) Well then I asked how much do I owe on my loan - (I took out $200 and it should be $279 with the fees. He said I owe $358.00 SOUNDS FAMILIAR ANYONE? He said I could split that up into two payments. I just had to share

This is just a piece of advice for anyone reading this. Please warn everyone that you care about to stay away from payday loans, especially ones from Cash Today, Limited. Don't make the same mistake I did. I needed money desperately back in March, and I took out a loan with them. The loan was originally for $200, and since I've been unable financially to get them paid off, I have paid over $2000 in "fees". These payday loans are nothing but scams used to take advantage of people desperate for money. Please heed my advice and let everyone know how dangerous these types of loans are. It will save you a lot of heartache.

i had a loan with them ( cash today ) i e-mailed darren w and through several communications via the internet my account was resolved. so my question would be to you "have you tried to speak to someone about your situation?" i had this particular loan for quite sometime, about 16 or 17 weeks, when i made the loan our hours at work had been shortened but we were assured that they would pick up soon, they didn't, so i was stuck every week paying them their money and not having enough money to take care of my other opligations and responsibilities. my account is squared with cashtoday ltd.. I made the mistake of acting on impulse and not carefully looking into things and i paid for my error in judgement.

Pleae take warnings about this company very seriously. I had to get a new bank account after paying my bank a big negative that cash today created. It took over a month to get my new account, and have my paychecks back to normal so I can pay for things like my vehicle and food. If you have a loan with them and you see yourself getting into more and more trouble, ask for a new checking account number and explain to your bank your problem with this company. Then at least you will be one giant step ahead and can handle paying your debts. Don't let this company destroy your life.

Place your cancellation request at the processing department of the financial institution. Send a written request to them and keep a follow up over the phone. Cash Today should notify you after your loan application has been cancelled by them.

JESSE L MARTIN

Your best move at this time should be contact Cash Today limited and request for the cancellation of this loan. Insist on getting a written statement about the loan being cancelled. This will be an important proof of the relevant facts.

Monitor your bank account very closely. Explain this situation to your bank. They might block CTL if they try to take money from your account.

Confused

Your bank statement must be having a record of all the payments made to Cash Today. Now it will be your best move if you can close your checking account and open a new one. This way, the money will not be able to make any unauthorized debits in your account. Later on Cash Today will contact you for not getting the payment. Get proper details of your accounts and about the money that you have paid so far. You might have paid much more than the owed amount including interests. Ask them to itemize the statement before you will make any payment further. Also, at that time, you can take the help of your bank and place each of the debits on dispute with CTL. They have to verify each of them to your bank.

:x I need someone who has an address or more info to contact me via email. I am having considerable trouble with them also. Alot of the same ways that are posted here. But they are calling my work and my home even though my voicemail says I am off on medical leave and they know I just had surgery. They are saying I owe $310 more than I orginially got. I already paid back the original amount they gave me. I also called them when someone got my bank card number and was taking out money from my account and I told Cash Today about it and I wanted to set up payments and they said wait until the collection agency calls you. Well now they say they never said that. I need HELP!!!

Swalbourn, involve your bank in this matter. They will verify each of the debits made by CTL and give you a detailed explanation. If any of the debits is not shown accurately, you are likely to get a refund from them. However, you might need to make this claim legally.

It will be better to close your checking account and wait for the company to contact you. You need to have an itemized statement about all the debits before you make any further payment. I think you might need to take some legal counseling in this matter.
