anybody know this company? I did apply for a payday loan, did go through with it but this co debited 21.95 from my acct. said it was connected to a payday loan. anybody know anything?

i too was scammed same thing as everyone else except the number i have is 866-543-8451 . i too talked to the ever so friendly Mary.... i have closed my account as of today . the first charge was 03-22-06 . i have filed a dispute with the bank. email and filed complaints to everywhere that someone before me suggested to file. when i told mary i filed a dispute she hung up. when i finally was able to reach some one else she told me it was because i used fowl language with mary..... i dont use fowl language .. the 2nd lady i talked to assured me my request to cancel the " membership" was granted by mary.. i quized her about company info and how they are able to mislead people into "signing" up for their memberships... she too hung up on me...

The same happened to me. For 3 months $21.95 was taken from my account. I thought it was one of my payday loans service fees!
When I called the number next to the debit they said I authorized it when I took a payday loan. I wish I could remember who it was!
I cancelled my account and told my bank. They never replaced the money, but they haven't taken any more from me.

No I have not heard of Go Roadside. However, there is company called RoadSide plus. That I and others have been rip off from. It truly a sad situation when companies are like hackers steal your information to gain wealth and prosperity. I have report them to my bank, police and next step is the BBB. Roadside Plus I see has several numbers listed. The one number I have is 866-543-8451 gets you one or two rude women claiming no refund and no supervisor. If you want to do more research type in your address bar (roadside plus rip off) and you will see the different links that have been set up against this fraudlent company.

Hello,

I'm a victim of this Roadside USA as well...they said they were some Roadside assistance towing company and I signed up or something. I thought it was a one time deal so I just let it go cuz it was only around $20. But then it happened again and I fouind out this was a monthly fee they charge...so I went to my bank to complain and they put a stop payment on them for 6 months...
The bank does charge a fee for the stop payment but it's worth it.

These roadside assistance guys are criminals. You don't even authorize for any of this stuff but they start automatically debiting your account once you sign up with a payday loan (not sure which payday loan company it was). I too have experience with them...they started taking off $21.95 out of my checking account without notice one day and kept on doing it monthly. I called to see what it was and they told me I had signed up for a towing assistance program? That's BS.

Quesik..I just went to the police department and filed a police report on them. For 3 months they did the same thing to me...Oh..better check your phone bill too! Someone named Nationwide Assist will be adding charges to your phone bill. It's a bi&*$ tryin to get it off of there too!

Whoa, I didn't know they even get into your phone bill. Do you know the phone number they go by? I only have a cell phone that I use that has long distance so that shouldn't be a problem should it?
Do you know how long it usually takes to receive a police report? I reported one over 2 weeks ago but I still have not received the letter yet.

You should be able to get a copy that day!
It was a different business name on my phone bill with Sprint. They actually allowed them to bill it and I had to argue with Sprint, and pay it first of course before they would "credit" my bill the next month.
I also called them...They are Nationwide Assist and bill you under the name ESB..Don't have any idea who they are. I called them and told them they are not authorized to bill me for whatever services they provided.
They were pretty rude and told me that it would be several months before the charges would come off. So I had to file a dispute with Sprint.
Man oh Man....these pdl's are really a big PIA to deal with..they try to get you up one side and down the other....NEVER AGAIN!

Hello Khalilah,

In this case, you need to contact your bank and let them know of the situation. Tell them that you don't know what this company is and you never authorized anything to do with such a company. The bank will then put a stop payment on this company for up to 6 months and so you don't have to worry about it for the time being. I would advise that you change your bank account number or call these roadside assistance people if you get the chance. Good luck!

They also took funds out of my account which I never authorized. When I contacted them they will not refund the money.

What can be done?

I too have had the same problems as mentioned earlier on this board. I started my claims with the bank before seeing this board, but after seeing this board have filed complaints with the LVBBB and have cancelled with the company which rang true as ever with there story about us signing up and there very unprofessional customer service :x . You would think that any reputable roadside service company would send you information via USPS on how to contact them when you were actually broke down :?: and the terms and conditions of your agreement  . Anyway I wanted to say this board is great and serves a great purpose :D .

Those thieves debited $21.95 out of my account twice. I called them, and like everyone else I was given the cold shoulder from a rude customer service rep. I was told I was not getting a refund and that they have my isp address through aol. The rude woman would not tell me when I supposedly signed up for the fake service. She only told me I got everything through emails. She would not even give me the company's address so that I could formally cancel this bogus service. I called my bank to investigate this unathorized debit and the bank refunded my money. I am also contacting the attorney general to file a complaint.

i called my bank to verify my checking account and find out that i have a 21.95 withdrawal on the account which i did not know about . when i called the bank they gave me a phone number that was with the transaction but no company name appeared called the phone number and the recording said thank you for calling roadside plus. i have never heard of this company let alone authorize them to deduct money from my account. will be closing checking account and bank is going to refund money back to account since i had no knowledge of this transaction. thanks to this forum i found when i typed in the toll free number which was very helpful or i would of been getting ripped off every month if it wasn't for you guys

Thank god! You got aware of the Roadside USA debit at the right time and your bank was able to refund the money back. Be careful, Roadside USA makes these debits every month. They have done that with many others. If it's not a problem, you can try closing your checking account. Or you can explain your bank not to authorize this debit in the future.

The same thing happened to me. Could you please tell me which payday loan company it was. Roadside will not tell us and they will not refund our money either.

I also just discovered what was going on. I thought this payment was for something else so i called the 800 number on my statement and the recording stated it was Roadside Plus (866-543-8451). I am calling my bank in the morning and seeing what I also can do to help put a stop to this company

Let's take legal action. This happened to me too and I am furious. Which loan company sold out information, does anyone know?

I am calling right now because I am in a bitchy mood and I would like som answers!

Can we go after both Roadside Plus and the loan company?
