palisades collection, SOL for MA
Date: Mon, 08/07/2006 - 16:45
Dear Sir or Madam,
Any help regarding this situation is sincerely appreciated…
Last month on July 2006 my father received a letter from Wolpoff & Abramson, a law firm representing Palisades Collection LLC. The letter stated that my father owed Palisade Collection LLC $1,826.49 for an AT&T Wireless cell phone account. The date of last activity for that account was back in November 2001. Upon learning this, I immediately ordered my father’s credit report and found that per Equifax, Palisades Collection (of Bethlehem, PA office) is claiming that my father owe them $1,309. The date that this was reported is shown as July 2006 in the credit report.
My first question is: What is the statue of limitation for the state of MA? Since the wireless account was back in 11/01, does not that pass the SOL?

I guess the debt is out of the SOL period in MA. You can check this information here. You did the last payment in November 2001
I also have this feeling that the Palisades account regarding AT&T bills is disputed in most of the cases. Have a look on your own at these threads and get some light.
