got bad experience with these people....

They have been harassing me on and off for soe time. They stop for a while then 1 day they will call numerous times. I just put them on hold. My boss has told them not to call here and they say I gave the permission to call when I repeatedly told the not to. I don't get upset with them anymore I laugh at them and tell the to send me some paperwork then I will talk to them. This really pisses them off.

I'd just hang up on them. That's what they deserve. What slimeballs!

SO NOW THEY ARE SAYING THEY ARE GOING TO TAKE IT OUT OF MY CHECK. I A IN TEXAS AND I KNOW YOU CAN DO CHILD SUPPORT AND TAX LIENS. CAN THEY DO THIS? I ASKED FOR PAPERWORK TO PROVE I OWE AND THEY CANNOT PROVIDE.

If this is indeed Cash Today, they are blowing hot air at you. They are ILLEGAL. They can not take money out of anyone's check. Soooo illegal. They will use empty threats to scare the money out of people.

I told the I would make arrangements if they could provide me with paperwork that I owe this. They cannot provide me anything because they have nothing. They wanted my work fax number to fax over an order to take out of my check to our HR department. I would not give the the fax number. We are a fairly a small company. My boss says they can't do it. It has to be a court order for it to happen and in Texas they don't garnish for debts just child support and tax liens. They called this morning from their "legal department" I gave them my home number and told them I would be home after 5. They said they will be gone and I needed to call them during my lunch. Fat chance that is happening as that is my time to do errands and I am not calling them from my cell phone. I don't want them to have my number! Will this ever end!!!!

First off, I would send them a Cease and Desist letter to their address in Nevada. They'll ignore it, but your ducks will be in a row. Next, file complaints against them with the BBB, the FTC and the Texas State Attorney General.
So do the Cease and Desist and Validation letters (where you ask for proof from them that you owe this debt) and then file your complaints, mentioning to these agencies that you have done this.

I have done those letters already. Any others I may need to do?

striker, you've covered your bases. Honestly, you have. These creeps will eventually disappear once contacted by the government agencies. They did attempt the old wage assignment with my employer; however, didn't work. Then my state AG got on them and I've never heard another peep out of them. They didn't respond to my state AG; however, they just disappeared.

These people are nuts. i had fraud a few yrs ago adn someone stole my acount # they got a $200.00dollar loan and now these people are after me. I have spoke to an atturney closed my accounts and filed a police report. They kept calling me at work they talked to my boss who even threatened them with harrassment and they still called. I spoke to the bank that I had when the fraud happened and they told me that they dont give out any personal information to companies like that and they are doing illegal things because they cant do a loan agreement over the phone it has to be a signed contract. Now they are threatening me that since it has been 2 yrs I owe them $3000.00 due to intrest. I told them that they are not getting a dime from me and just hang up on them. But they left me a message that they are going to send this to the credit companines so it shows up on my credit and will ruin my credit report can they do that?

Will they really take your paycheck .. how can they do that without any info on your job.>please let me know someone. Thanks

They can't in Texas. Seems to be one of their threats they make to everyone. Check you stat laws on garnishment.

I have had the same problems with these people. They have talked to my supervisor, harrased me, etc. The only way that i have been able to stop them is to make payment arrangements with them. However, now I have paid the loan back plus double what i owed and they still are taking my money with no end in sight. I have been wanting to call them and tell them this but because of their harrasing nature, i am putting it off. One day they tied up every phone line at my work for 20 minutes trying to call me. I dont know what else to do. If we can get a lawyer to represent us, possibly we can do a class action suit against these people i dont know what else would work.

I just spoke with them and asked them for validation of the loan, amount owed, interest etc. He told me that there is no such information available to send me. that because this was a internet loan that there was no paperwork generated. So how can they even say that i owe the money without proof? They say that i still owo them $800.00 when my original loan was for $379.00 and i have paid $420.00. This is so fustrating! He also said that this is a loan with United KIndom and that it is bound by their laws. Again, they have can show me no proof that i own this debt. I am happy to know that i am not alone, that other people have had problems with them. I think a class action suit is our best option. Im going to speak with an attorney about this.

I have been getting nasty calls at work everyday at least 15 to 20 calls saying I owe them money. I did borrow 200 dollars and paid them back over 700. They say I still owe them more money. They won't give me an address or anyhing. Does anyone have an address for this crazy company. You can't even understand the creeps. thanks.

I too have had problems with them. I received a phone call today from a guy nemed Eddy (foreign accent- could hardly understand him!) who said that he was from the Investigation Dept at Cashtodaylimed. He immediatley went into this tirad that I owed this company over $1,000 (with interest) from a loan I took out 2 years ago and didn't finish paying for. I asked him to send me written confirmation of this bill and gave him my email address to contact me. He said that he couldn't send anything to my home address as they didn't do business that way and also that I could not pay with a debit card or thru a credit union. I would have to go out and start up a new account at a real bank! I hung up on him and he called my boss who promptly asked me into her office. I told her the story and she said to tell him that he couldn't call at the office anymore to harrass me and if he didn't stop that Security would be brought in on him! First of all I don't think its necessary and is really a hassle for me to go out and get a new bank account to satisfy this matter and also who do I contact officially regarding this matter. I am going to call the agency directly and see if they will send out a statement showing how much I have paid and still owe on this....but I doubt if they will comply because as this gentleman stated...they did not ask for any verification when I applied for the loan and they don't do business that way!!! Its all done over the internet! So again, what official body do I contact regarding this matter?

Several people have stated that they had no problems with the company and that us that are having a problem is because we didn't pay back the loan per agreed. I am not denying the loan and I did pay it back....the point is is that here it is 2 years later and they come out of nowhere saying that I didn't finish paying back the loan and are now harrassing me with I must pay it or else! I am not paying them a cent until they can prove what I "owe" and I too will be filing a complaint with the FTC, attorney general's office and the BBB. Also I am sending a cease and desist letter certified!

I have the same experience. I received a call from this company on Friday stating I took out a loan for $200 3yrs ago and now I owe them $4000.00, but they would consider it paid in full if I gave them $1000.00. I requested a verification of debt, they refused. I have since filed a formal complaint w/ the FTC and BBB and plan to write the Atty General for Nevada Monday. I have also contacted the Reno Newspaper/Television Station w/ my story about this harrasment and illegal practice by Cash Today Limited.
I suggest others do the same.

I had the same problems with them and finally had to file a police report in my town to get them off my back. You might have to do that as well--but I know that the FTC is very interested in these clowns. Keep us posted.

They called me today - i used them three times - twice paid on time - the third time was during a time when i had lost my wallet - had to cancel the checking account - never thought about this loan - never received any calls or correspondence - all this was in 2004 - loan was for $200.00 - they called today very harassing to the receptionist at my office - asked to speak with my supervisor - she hung up on them. They can barely speak English - very hard to understand them - they told me that I now owed them $3000.00 but they would settle for $1200 since I had been a "good customer". When I asked why I was never contacted they said that I was each month at my e-mail address. I asked for that address and they could not supply it. I am now going to mail them a M/O for the $200.00 I borrowed with a letter - I also found an address of their main headquarters in London - I am sending a copy of the letter there - everything certified. I hope this will solve these problems...

I to have filed with the BBB,FTC as well as the FBI Internet Fraud division. I too will be calling the State Attorney General for California and filing my complaint with them. This company must GO DOWN!!!!

Today at work I received a call from a gentelman named Greg. He told me that I owe over $3000 on a loan I took out in 2006 for $200. He said if I don't give him my bank information he will call my supervisor. Luckily im the one who answers the phone at my work so I just hang up on him. How do I get them to stop calling?

They will not stop the phone calls. They cannot do a thing to you except harrass you. This company has illegal immigrants making these calls they work soley on a commish basis this is why they harrass everyone DO NOT GIVE IN. They cannot garnish your wages if they say they are it is against the law so do not give in report them to the FTC and The Better Business Bureau

Cash Today Limited/Cash4uToday is registerd under Heathmill (heathmill.com) Payday Loan Companies cannot garnish your wages nor will the take you to court reason being they know what they are doing is illegal even under UK laws. If everyone pulls together and reports them to the FTC and the BBB then maybe they will take action and work with the UK Government to take this company down. Be sure to note the dates and times of every single phone call you recieve from them.If they happen to leave you a voice message then save it every shred of proof against them is better for all of us.

I had my boss tell them I no longer work here. I answer the phone so I don't say my name when I answer any more.

I pretended to be my supervisor and he was so nasty to me i told him if he continues to call I will call the police and have them deal with his harassment. I also filed a complaint with the FTC so lets so what happens. All I know is that these people are just so out of line and so unprofessional they need to be stopped.

Does anyone know if this company has different names but the same company? For example, Perferred Cash or United Cash. Im asking because i have two negative markes on my credit report from a collection agency for companies under these names. I belive it is cash today ltd but just a different name. If this is true i wonder why it is placed with a collection agency and also Cash Today is trying to collect it as well. Further, the collection agency never sent me anything with regard to those accounts and the first time I learned about it was when i printed my credit reports recently. Any information you have would be greatly appreciated.

I got a call from Cash Today from someone calling himself "Mark Ryan." He told me that I had taken out a loan with Cash Today 3 years ago and that they had been trying to get a hold of me for the past 3 years to no avail. I asked for details on this loan and he would not give them to me. I told him I needed to see this in writing and he said that since it was through the internet it was considered a verbal agreement. He then said that he was going to contact my supervisor which he did. My supervisor called me into his office and told me to call him back and tell him to stop calling me at work and not to involve him (my supervisor) that it is against company policy. I did call him back and tell him this but he said that he would call me at work every day until I paid. I told him that if I would agree to pay anything it would be through a money order but he refused saying that I needed to get my payroll dept. on the phone with him so that he could get my bank information. After reading this forum there is NO WAY I will give this information to him. I again told him to stop calling me at work and then hung up. After that he called over and over, maybe about 15 times. We have caller ID so I knew it was him and didn't bother answering. He also tried calling my supervisor again who also didn't answer. I ended up filing a complaint with our states attorney general. I don't know if it will do any good, but I hope it will. So far no calls today. Just wanted to share my story.

I received a phone call from a payday lender from the phone number 1-856-831-0640/U.S National Bank. I did receive a 300.00 loan however I do not remember this particular company. I called the number and they told me that they had legal documents filed against me and wanted money.

If they had any legal documents against you they would have to file it with your local courts and you would get a copy from the court. It is my belief that they are bluffing. Ask in writting for written documentation regarding your loan. See earlier posts in this forum for letters that you can use. Dont pay them anything until you receive documentation regarding your loan.

They absolutely refused to send me anything in way of proof that this is a valid debt, because they know it is not. They actually called me FIVE times in a row at work. They called back again today. Now instead of $6000, they are willing to close the account for $400. This payday. Yeah, right. Like I'm going to give you my account information. They flat-out refuse to give any documentation or proof that this account is even valid. Love these guys.

They won't leave you alone even if you "pay off" the loan. They will still contact you and harass you. Something seriously needs to be done about these people. They won't stop. They are relentless. They are already being sued by someone, we should get together a class action and get all our money and pain back.

Started calling me today- I could have read your emails and saved her the trouble. Word for word exactly what she said. 200 dollars 3 years ago and they would settle today for 1200. But I would have to give them my bank account number. yea right. really glad I did pre-paid legal, waiting on a call back now.
Never did get her name she would not give it. said she was the manager of the investigation department and when I asked for her legal department number for my lawyer she only gave me the main number - 877-290-5259.

Interesting...the guy who called me was also the manager of the investigation dept...name of Michael Brown.

It probably just rang because they are actually in England--and depending on the time difference between Britain and where you are, depends on whether it get answered or not.
I would do the following to get them to stop:
File complaints with the FTC and the police in your town--and tell them that you did it. They won't listen to anything else, trust me, I know.

Mark Johnson called me back today and left a massage that he would be calling over 500 times if I did not pay him, I did call him telling my company called the police and would be filing harrisment charges against him wil see if it works!! Also the call center from what I learned is in India.

Well, I posted awhile back regarding Cash Today calling me at work. This was back in September 2007. I notified the Attorney General of Texas, and Nevada( where they have their drop box). The attorney General sent me a reply stating that they tried to call them, in addition to sending them notifications to stop calling me. Cash Today never replied back (go figure). Last week, on May 13, 2008, they tried calling my work again, and I told them that the attorney general is involved and i am transferring the phone call to the police here at work, and the guy with a foreign accent, said "ok". AS soon as I did transfer him, he "got disconnected" and tried calling me back. I told my fellow employees to let him know that I no longer work here. Today, on May 22, I received a call on my cell phone from +2239875200, and I could tell it was a foreign phone number. Some female, with a foreign accent asked for me, and I said that there is no one at this number, and to stop calling this cell phone number. She apologized and hung up. I only had one loan with them, back in 2005 for $200.00, wich I paid off, and to save heartache on my bank account, closed it and opened another one. Now they keep calling me and are saying that I owe them $3000.00. Something needs to be done about these scam artists.

Pedrito, be sure to inform you local District Attorney's Office of this matter as well. Cashtoday tried the same thing with me as well.
