I am having some serious borderline harassment issues with the company, Cash Today Limited. They are calling me at work about every 15 minutes or so and are ignorant to the fact that I've told them a million times that I have filed (am filing) bankruptcy. They wouldn't give me a physical address and are calling from this number: 442084922780. They are leaving messages for me to call them back at 800-670-4705, but there is a constant busy signal at that number. The lady keeps telling me even if I'm filing bankruptcy I have to pay them an extension fee of 237.00.

I have told her about 20000 times NOT TO continue calling me at work and she just yells at me and tells me she'll keep calling until I pay them.

PLEASE HELP! If anyone knows an address for them that I can give to my attorney I would greatly appreciate it!

I had the same problem and I was just ready to tell them I did not work there anymore.....they just stopped calling me, out of the blue. And, if they do call again, I will say I no longer work there.....

I have had this number 442 084 922780 repeatedly call me for the past couple months, i had gotten a payday loan from them for 200 dollars, i ended up paying them about 450 dollars because of the 79.00 dollar fees they took out of my checking account each time i got paid. I dont owe them anything more, but they still call me asking for someone by the name of betty. they just wont stop i have told them several times to not call my cell phone, that i am NOT betty they have the wrong phone number. They argue with me and say well why did she give us this number, and then they try to say that i havent had my number very long, in which i have had the same cell phone number since august of last year. I feel i am being harrassed for no reason, this has got to stop, i have even threatened legal action. I dont know what else i can do.

Cassandra, are you relating route 66 Funding with Cash Today?

When you owe nothing to the company, you must insist them to send you a letter with paid in full status. They are calling because either you are mistaken while looking for someone else or they have incomplete information about your account. Get the account statement for clarifying the matter.

Yes.
They are mistaken, asking for a betty holmes. I have told them several times to not call me, they have even argued with me saying that maybe this betty is a friend of mine, asking why she gave them my phone number, I told them theyre asking the wrong person. I am so fed up, i really dont know what more i can say to these people, i have told them to remove my number from their system and never to call me again...that seemed to work..but only for about two weeks

Cassandra

Inform your phone company and block the phone number. Also, send a letter explaining the complete situation about the mistaken identity and to remove your name from the system. Send your letter through certified mail with return receipt requested.

You might pursue legal actions because there will be proof if they dishonor your letter. Lastly, you can also think about changing your phone number.

hi. i m sundeep, cash2day manager.
i would like to tell everyone that cash2day has lost its reputation bucz we call so many people at their work so they can loose their jobs, so now i am telling u that there r other pay day loans r opened as GCS and route66 so that we can generate more money by fooling people. same people call them from same call centre in london
who work for cash2day. that means we will do same what we used to do in cash2day means we will call u 100 times till u loose the job so we can generate more money of poor people.
so my advise is that no to take loans from GCS and route 66. i am telling u all that so you wont be ripped off from these guys.

regards,
sundeep

There are so many contradicting posts on Cash Today Limited. I wonder which one is pointing out facts. Few days back, I was trying to get some impression in the thread below.

http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/forums/ics-clarification.html

Now, this is something that blocks my thoughts. But ultimately, whatever may be the facts, the consumer is lastly the one to suffer. I don't know when everyone will say that they have got rid of CTL.

And this is assuming that "Sundeep" is really a Crap 2 Day manager. :?

Thank God and all Angels watching over me, in addition to this website, that I did not go through with my PDL from this worthless and pathetic excuse for a company.

Can i just say this whole thin is just crazy? I mean, who in their right mind would come online, as manager of the company who steals mula from people, and admit they are trying to generate money and trying to fool people? This is all a scam... Just ludacris  [/quote]

i have to make this remark also, when you fill out a form for an internet PDL, that form goes anywhere and everywhere. You can a ton of offers in your inbox. You get phone calls. You don't even know who you are talking with. One place approved you and another funded you. Everyone has your bank info, your social security number and where you live and work. Not a good feeling huh. Internet PDL's are so risky! I can't believe I did this to myself. Please think twice before doing this to yourself

linnie, thanks for the words of caution. I know what you are trying to bring out!! Internet payday loan companies are not a reliable help. They can come up with all sorts of charges and financial fees. Besides, licensing of the company is also a big concern. The scammers sell the personal info and it can even lead to identity theft. The process of repairing the credit is a lengthy and time consuming process in itself.

This place is probably the most expensive one out there and their fees add up the quickest when you default.

Unlike Sonic they will work with you - for what thats worth.

Yes its not kosher and would not stand up in court. But if you took the $200 then its hard to call it a scam when they simply did everything they said they would do. $79 every 2 weeks until you call in to tell them to deduct the original $200.

I understood the terms, cannot believe I agreed to them and took the money but I did.

All I can say is weigh your options of taking the abuse and not settling versus working out a payment plan. I only received one phone call from them at work and called back to settle and since then have not heard from them. So they have respected the agreement and my employer never had to find out about it.

So do whats best for you. If you don't mind their illegal collection practices then go for it. Otherwise if you settle then they will respect the arrangement and not tack on extra fees or bug you anymore.

As noted in my last reply, I had to finally surrender to them and pay them.. I will tell you, they are willing to negotiate at some point. Based on the fact that I had not paid for several weeks my account total kept increasing. They actually settled for the amount of the loan and the $79.00 advance fee.. They are not easy to beat and the Attorney General did NOTHING FOR ME..... So don't waist your time there.. You would think there where on the same team.. hahahaha... Choose your battles wisely.. If you can afford to pay them to get them off your back, consider it, as the fight could get ugly and is it really worth all the aggravation? For me it was not...

tc - Exactly. I felt like I paid way way too much for a $200 loan but I did not want the grief.

They finally stopped calling me! I had payed off my loan and did not owe them anything more, they called me constantly asking for a Betty, i told them repeatdly to not call me, they have the wrong number, which got me nowhere they still continued to call. so finally i decided to calmly (im not calm when im being harassed for no reason, who is) speak with whoever it was, and i asked for their address which they refused to give out, so i asked to speak with a supervisor, i explained to him (the supervisor) my whole situation and he gave me a different number to call and told me to tell them the same thing i told him. So i did. It turns out that this "Betty" character had given them some random phone number (which just so happened to be mine of all the millions of phone numbers) and she had been sent to collections. I will never do that again!

Can someone give me their phone number? I have a payday advance through them, and in the past, after each readvancement, and only paying the $79 service charge, they would send me an extension email the day after. Now this time, I haven't heard anything from them, and I am trying to get a hold of them to be able to pay off the full amount. If someone can help me with this info, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I also was stupid or desprate and took a loan out. I was lucky. I went to my bank after the 3rd or 4th debit and spoke to the bank manager. She had me close out that account and open a new one. because of the continued debits, I had bank fees a little over $500. She reversed all fees my bank had charged me because the debits had made other items be returned for NSF.

I explained to my boss the situation and she stood behind me as well. She told them not to call the work place. Of course they continued, so everyone was instructed to just hang up on these people. Now they only call every 3 to 4 months.

I have verified that my addres is still correct and have asked each person that calls to mail an accounting to that address. To date I have NOT received anything from them. I also advised them that they have to right to sue me and offered to put them in touch with an attorney in my town. If they want to proceed with legal actions against me, then I believe they have to file in the county and state I live in.

I was also told that my wages would be garnished. I provided them with the fax number to payroll so they could fax the garnishment papers. That was about 7 months ago. To date nothing has been sent.

I have asked them to prove I am in debt with them and to please take legal action against me. To date nothing.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get these guys to file a lawsuit against me??

If only they would! LOL But it will never happen. There is a letter on my blog detailing a multitude of laws that they are breaking world wide. There are more out there that I have not added. I wish they would sue me, but they do not even email me anymore. They know that if they step on baby toe inside of a US court room that their happy arses will be sitting in somebody's jail!

These people are probably the lowest of the low. I had similar experiences with them last year when I was paying them off and let me tell you what happened: I got all of the calls at work and they did threaten me with a call to my supervisor. At that point, I called their bluff and sat my boss down and told her everything. She was very supportive and said if they did call, she would tell them she couldn't help them.
What really did it for me was when one jerk called me a liar and said I hadn't made any payments. I then called Credit Advisors, where I consolidated all of my PDL's, and had them send me copies of all of the checks they had sent them, front and back, showing the douchebags had cashed them. At that point, I had to make one payment and I was completely paid off with them.
The last thing I did was call the Reno PD and ask how to file a criminal report. They were very helpful and said I could actually do it with my local PD in California if needed and it would be sent to them.
Finally, when the next call was made to me, I told them what I had done, said that a police report would be made showing that they have and are violating the FDCA, and the woman stammered for a minute and said "Your account is paid in full!" and hung up.
Haven't heard from them since....The moral of my story? FIGHT BACK!!!!!!!

First off if you have contacted an attorney about the bankruptcy and that is in process have the attorney send them a letter.Second get your boss to write a detailed letter as to what was said to them what date and time and take this to your attorney. This is VERY ILLEGAL for them to talk to ANYONE about your debt.the only thing they can do is ask if you are employed there.Your Bankruptcy attorney can take care of all of this if you have begun the filling process

Problem with this place is they are offshore.

How can the US legal system do anything?

This place is very aggressive. Not as bad as Sonic though.

i had not been paying the extension fees for quite some time and a lady whom i spoke to informs me that my balance was absurdly high, i kept getting calls at my work place and my supervisor wasnt very help full either, one day i called in to make a settlement and this guy "raul" helped me, have to say great guy, i told him that the number of hours had been cut down and child support was not helping either, he understood and got the loan paid off for just $200. amongst those greedy foreginers, one does get some good people

I also have a loan with them and I have stopped paying the fees for sometime now the loan was for 200.00 I sent them several letters quoting my state law and I have not heard from them since and it has been about 2 weeks now - I e-mailed them as a reply to there e-mail stating that my loan was late. I am just waiting for another phone call. I do not know how your work is but did you send the a letter so they cannot call you at work?? if not I would I did and they have not and if they do I will just hang up on them.
