Can I consolidate payday loans without turning them over to a collection agency? I don't have any defaults, but I'm not making any progress, just paying about $600 a month in interest.

I really need to consolidate my payday loans now put a end to this roller coaster. I have not defaulted but with paying out all of this money we have little money lef to eat on. I and my husband have payday loans totaling up to 1145.00 please help! We needed the money for various unexpected situations but now my work hours are cut and a new baby here we can't cover the loans. Who will consolidate these loans and negotiate for us.

Is it possible to consolidate payday loans without your wages being garnished and your employer finding out?

If you are paying towards the debt in time and make yourself present in front of the loan company, there are no genuine reasons for garnishing your wages and notifying your employer. But there are some loan companies around that often do not have good business standards. They might try for anything and make situation tougher for you. It will be clever enough to be aware about the practices of the lenders you are dealing with.

i too have these armegeddon rooted loans
i have read through every thread just about, and I have called the organizations referred to by this site and T& C as I found T & C on google.
no one helps consolidate these loans
currently my loans are taken out of my paycheck on a bi weekly basis
currently only the renewal fee is taken out
i have 3 at this time
no more.
who says t & c helps, and who do you talk to?
do they help if the money is being taken out of the check?
is there a way to talk to these people to lift that fee and pay a bit each time?
is there a way to change this?
i am a nervous wreck and feel like the biggest idiot for an educated person.
can someone please help and advise.
if you have a correct contact please help
also, i filled out the form here, and the person i spoke to said they cannot help payday loans....

ga90442002,
Since you have registered with the site a counselor will be contacting you to discuss your situation. Unfortuantly there are some compains who don't work with payday loans.
Why don't you tell us a little bit more about your situation. What type of loans are you dealing with...store front or online lenders? Also what state are you in? You can check out this website (paydayloaninfo.org) to make sure they are following the rules of your state.

I am at wit's end with my pay day loans. I have 6 out myself and my husband has 4. We are having trouble making our normal bills just in readvance fees. We originally got them out to pay for car repairs which were worthless because the car became unfixable so I had to buy a new one (two advances were taken out for the downpayment). Then, last year, my husband was out of work for almost three months, so we had to cover our expenses somehow. My job doesn't pay enough to cover everything. In total, the amount we have out is around $4000 in advances, not counting the fees. We would love to consolidate these or have a plan to pay them back without having close to $1100 a month just in readvance fees. I hear a lot on this board about "T&C". Could someone send me the info on how to get in touch with them?

deborah_l_yates, you need to send them a revocation of wage assignment letter, if the wage assignment in your agreement was voluntary, which most are, you can voluntarily revoke it. I did this to a company, made them mad but they had to honor it. At least you don't have to worry about them touching your pay check. what state do you live in? and what companies do you have the loans with?

After reading several posts on here and being encouraged by a few people, I no longer want to cry every time I think about my pay day, and it only took me two days to relax. I wish my PDL people would do payment plans, but none of the store fronts here want to work with my husband or I regarding them, so I will be contacting a debt consolidation/settlement company tomorrow that deals with pay day loans. Regardless of what happenens with them, I will still be closing my bank account to avoid unnecessary fees and backhanded attempts from the PDL people to get my money. There is only one thing that gets automatically taken from our checking besides PDL stuff, so it will be a fairly easy process for me to do. I found the website for state laws about PDL's to be particularly helpful, especially since the two internet loans I have are not even licensed to do business in Virginia. I don't see wage garnishment forms in any of my paperwork, but I will be sending them a non-garnishment request regardless. This is what our loans look like now:

ACE Cash Express, Inc.
Husband = 390.00
Me = 450.00

Express Check Advance of Virginia, LLC d/b/a Express Check Advance
Husband = 500.00
Me = 500.00

ACE Enterprise of Virginia, LLC d/b/a 1st Choice Cash Advance
Husband = 350.00
Me = 400.00

Check First, Inc.
Husband = 400.00

Eastern Specialty Finance, Inc. d/b/a Check 'n Go
Me = 500.00

Authorized Payday
Internet = Me
200.00

United Cash Loans
Internet = Me
300.00

I am fairly confident that with as many times as we have had to readvance them, we have severely overpaid all of these people. Hopefully, the debt consolidation will help A LOT. If anyone has nay other suggestions, please feel free to post away Thanks everyone for all of your kind words :)

If you keep paying they will keep taking.. you need to figure out what has been paid and what is legal in the state you are in.. then stop the ACH remember they cant get blood from a stone.. then pay the important stuff Rent elect food.. that stuff and when they call tell them what you can pay ( if you even still owe) get ready for the yelling and cussing and then write email or call.. and start sleeping ( i know I didnt for months until I it under control)Look at all these people on this site that took back control and told the slime balls to go away..
I did and it felt great remember that you wont go to jail.. ( even if they want you to think you can) :) also even if the worst CA took you to court and did get a judgement they dont have prison for debts.. Although sometimes the thought of 3 months in Club Fed and coming out being debt free is not so terrible.. But it cant happen they dont do that..
Get control

I have six payday loans (internet). I asked each company to email me a copy of the contract that I signed. Now in one contract I electronically signed a voluntary wage assignment. But in the others I do not see this form. One of the agencies calls and tells me if I do not pay in full that the will garnish my wages for the full amount. But I do not see that information in the contract. I just would like to get them off my back and pay them reasonable amounts. Please send me the info on the companies that do help consolidate payday loans. Also how can i stop the wage assignment.

email address removed as per forum rules - Mike

Are these internet loans? What state are you in? how much have you paid and how much did you borrow? You can go to paydayloaninfo.org and click on your state for the laws....But if you post this information someone else or myself will try to help you as best we can....As far as voluntary wage assignemnts go: SEnd revocation letters to each and every company telling them you revoke them and then inform your payroll dept of this....(please note all my advice is for internet payday loans...I know nothing about storefront loans other than they are usually liscnesed legal and can take you to court to recover the cost)

First off can you answer some questions? Are you pdl's internet or storefront? What state are you in? How much have you borrowed/ paid back from each company? What companies did you borrow from?

If you answer these questions we can help point you in the right direction. Using a company to consolidate your pdl's may be the right option, but you may have other options too!

There really is someone out there who can help with this? Like so many, I've gotten myself into trouble with payday loans and also am looking for a way to consolidate and hopefully decrease the amount I have to pay every 2 weeks. They are sucking up all my pay and I'm getting further and further into debt. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
