I don't know if this will fly well here but I thought it would be entertaining and interesting. The point of this thread it to learn one thing about another.

The way this is going to work is that your first post will contain one piece of information about you. Each time you click on the thread to read others responses you will need to add another tid bit and so on.

Remeber. Anything you post here can be read by others and this isn't meant to be some deep dark secret confesions! It's meant to be carefree and fun.

I only get it permed twice a year or so, because it is so expensive for a spiral perm. It's getting pretty long too and the price goes up like every inch it grows! I color mine every couple months, or whenever I see too many grays, whichever comes first!!

Fact: I hate socks. I hardly ever wear them unless I am working out. Not even in the winter with my snowboots. I love sandals and flip flops and wish I could wear them all year long.

Thanks Tiffany! What beautiful babies!!! I am so sorry about Dixie :( I tell my doggies all the time that they have to live forever.......

I can see that Gody is like my dogs, FULL of personality!! There is nothing like a little dachshund, is there? I am so glad you shared this with us! I love doggie pics :)

It's soooo hard to lose weight! Oh and then she follows it up with how it might be "a little difficult" because I'm in my 30's. I wanted to say "well, what about the pudge YOU'VE put on." But I didn't. I just passive aggressively called her names when I left. :-)
Another fact: I'm passive aggressive.

I am going to jump on the diet bnand wagon. I lost 47 pounds over the last year. Went to the dr in June and my sugar sky rocketed and I started having blood work done. I was diagnosed diabetic. I lost weight becuase the dr told me to...went from a 22 to a 14. My sugar was fine while I was on the heavy side. And I love carbs...Go figure.

I killed a baby chick when I was in kindergarden at Easter. I thought it looked hungry and shared my marshmellow eggs.

When I was 18 my brother in laws cat was sleeping in the dryer and I was in a hurry. I threw my clothes in there and turned it on and ran out to take a shower to go to work.

When I was 18 (yea a cursed year) I killed my pet bunny. It either died of fright or sufforcated when it got caughts in some blankets on the floor and couldn't get out.

When I was 20 I ran over my puppy :(

FYI..your's were accidents...I had a miniture schnauzer that was hit by a car deliberately. This teen-age boy in the neighborhood was killing cats and dogs whenever he would see them..he saw my little pepper out by the road and drove into our yard to hit him. He succeeded...when to court and got off because he dad was a big lawyer in town...I was furious and very heart-broken.

FYI, LAura, I gave hubby a beagle for his birthday and she was playing in our yard. This kid pulled in the yard to go to the house next door and ran her over. When we confronted him he said she should not have been there, then the animal control police said she should have been in the back yard which was fenced. Ladies, I am so sorry, It sucks to loose a pet.

I have had three schnauzers...I loved them dearly..my last one lived to be 18 years old. The poor thing has dementia so bad he would just sit in the corner and stare at the wall. I finally had to have him put to sleep. But my youngest daughter grew up with him she had all her senior pics taken with him...it was great! Pets can give so much pleasure.

I'm so sorry to hear about those pet deaths..I swear, reading about dogs dying can move me to tears like nothing else. When I was 18, my precious teacup poodle was stolen. I don't think I've ever gotten over that.

Fact: I am narcoleptic. I was diagnosed back in June. It's an amazing disorder..That's probably why I fall asleep on car rides. I can't turn the air or heat on in my car, because that WILL make me fall asleep. Sometimes it's fun, though..I have dreams every night. What sucks about it is that we narcoleptics have "auditory hallucinations". I get to hear pots and pans banging and doors slamming in the middle of the night. When it first started happening I thought I was losing my mind, such as it is. I take anxiety meds for treatment, and I got to have a neat little stay at the sleep clinic!

I guess it would be a disorder.

As far as they go, it's not the worst thing that could happen to me...Plus, I think I'm pretty mild, I've heard of some narcoleptics that see things as well as hear them!! That would be awful! It was tough at first, I would wake up and hear these bangs..And wonder why the dog wasn't barking or my husband wasn't awake! Once I found out what it was it became a lot easier to deal with.

LAura, you beat me to it. Fins, I have had clients over the years with that and now I have one staff member who was diagnosed last year. I always wondered about it but did not want to ask. I hate to say it I should have researched on the internet but I felt like I was prying. Thank you for sharing that.

My middle sister has the chronic insomnia. When we were younger she'd be awake all night for at least a week-towards the end of the week she'd get exhausted & sleep everynight for a week after that...so it was a week on & week off. She was on meds to control her sleep. But as she got older she didn't want to take the meds & stopped in college & started having sleep issues again. The problems seem to have slowed down as she's gotten older. Now she sleeps a night or 2 on & then is awake for a night or 2.

I'm like that. I can sleep anywhere, anytime! My dad is the same way. We can even take a 10 minute cat-nap & wake up refreshed.

The only thing that will keep me up is a bad nightmare. When I have bad dreams they are REALLY BAD. If I try to go back to sleep, I just go right back into the dream.

I am lmao sooo hard here. I like snakes but would not have on as a pet. I can fall asleep talking on the phone. I HAVE fallen asleep driving, thought the car was on auto pilot because I had to go around 2 s curves and when I did wake up I was through them and still on the road.

I am a lover of all animals (heck I married hubby lol) people call me when they have a mouse or something and I come over and get it for them. But the best time I had was when I worked at a small town meat market. The owner was deathly scared of mice. And he knew they had some in the attic. So whenever he needed something out of there he would send me up there. So with knowing this I went to the store one night and the store had their halloween stuff 50% off. I found this huge rubber rat, just ugly looking and it looked like it had blood dripping from it's mouth. So of course being the wonderful worker that I am I bought it lol. Then I went to work the next day and set it in the cooler by a box of beef I knew he always grabbed. SO when he went in there he saw it and came out, the look on his face was priceless, he had no color and then he yelled at me. His wife and the other co-workers didn't know I did that. So he had me go in there and get it out. Then when everyone else saw it we were all laughing so hard we were in tears. So that day everyone kept moving it around the store. I am so suprised he didn't have a heart attack that day. He made me bring it home. LMAO

I worked at a haunted house for 4 years in high school. I loved it. It's fun to scare people.

Okay, playing "catch up" here! Damn! puddle is a drug addict (just kidding! ), sass can only have her hair permed, morning gets up WAY too early, luke doesn't divulge any secrets (smart!), roxy is WAY to young to be a grandmother, and many many other things. I can't keep up! LOL! Okay, my "catch up" time - I have to have coffee or I will die. I didn't hate my mother in law until the divorce. Now the word hate is used in my vocabulary a lot. I am an 80's freak also & have to have my hair styled in the old 80's style (sass, we're in the same boat!). I could listen to all 80's music and watch all 80's movies and be happy as a clam. I live to watch Nick At Night and TV Land. I, too (tiffany), saw KISS in Louisville. Bet I saw you! Major animal lover. Love them all. Yes, even squirrels, morning! I actually put out food for them and the birds every single day. I have a strong preference to dachshunds (as you all know!). I chain smoke while I'm on the computer. I talk WAY too much. (Guess that's from being alone!) I actually like my job (Watch. now I'll get fired!). I live on iced tea. I now have four tattoos. I just got one the other day while I was away. And, once you get one, you can't stop. That's no lie. No piercings except my ears. Don't have any kids, so can't share any stories there. Okay, so I'm a couch potato who still wishes it was the 80's and live for my dogs! LOL!

No one here knows this yet...but I am planning on moving home (the Chicago suburbs) next summer...and am so excited I could bust!!!! Guess I will have to brush up on the Illinois law too!

I'm a little behind here but my son had a tramatic experience yesterday morning when leaving for school. He rides with a girl across the street, she's 17, while backing out her driveway they ran over her cat! My son was SO upset. Not sure if he was more upset over the cat or over Alysa crying! :(
Ang
P.S. My daughter just got a beagle, SO CUTE!!!

Well, here's a piece of information for all who are complaining about their co-workers. (As I sit here not wanting to go to work!) National "Slap Your Coworker Day" is coming up. Take names . . . . . .

Thanks Cannr...I've been wanting to do that to my ex-supervisor for years! As you noticed I said "ex" if
I still was with her I'd have done it by now. Also I listen to the radio going to work and they were asking people about songs they hate to admit they like...well I love Neil Diamond and especially his song "Coming to America" it' always been my all-time favorite!

My mother loves Neil Diamond but would not buy his tapes. So every year for x-mas when I was a teen I would buy her a couple of his tapes. She now has all of them and still listens to them everyday. I have caught myself singing along to the songs.

For the mother-in-law issue. Mine can be aggravating but I love her. She is fighting cancer again. It is her 9th case of cancer in the last 15 years. She has had breast cancer (several reoccurences (sp)), colon cancer, and now has a nodule behind her sternum.

Okay, after having my Starbuck's fix for the day, I am here admitting that I am addicted to their non-fat, sugar-free vanilla lattes.

Another fact about me: I am a person who is plagued with guilt very easily. I am now feeling guilty that I got the latte, because it is $4 that I could have spent on something else, and I keep vowing that I am going to stop going there. I need blinders on the way to work, as there are about 3 or 4 Starbuck's that I pass.

You should live in my town, Tiffany. No Starbucks within 45 miles or so. You would be safe here. That sounds SO good though.

Fact: I did NO work yesterday. None. I worked on a research paper and posted on here. I have to get something done today.

Another fact: I am running out of facts. I don't know anything else about myself to share.

Yes, sass. You and luke share the fondness of WHAT breakfast sandwich? I need to know! LOL! And, I do believe we are two of a kind. And that's pretty damn cool! Let's see - another fact? Ummm.... I'm addicted to incense. I burn it every single night. Told you I'm "stuck" in another decade! LOL!

Incense, that's funny... Reminds me of my first apartment. My boyfriend at the time was into incense and new age stuff and used to burn incense in my apartment when he would come home from college on the weekends. My mom was insistent that we were burning it to cover up the smell of doobage!!!....lol. Geez, that was the early 90s, I'm feeling old.

Sass - I'm convinced that Starbuck's use something highly addictive (like crack) in their drinks. I make coffee at home, but I can certainly resist it and don't think I "have to have it."

I definitely need to move somewhere that doesn't have them so readily available. We are going to be moving to New York in a few months, so I'm sure they'll be all over the place there too.

Fact: I did some work this morning, but have been posting on here and looking things up on the net this afternoon since I'm the only one in the office for the next 2 days.

I work in a branch office and there are only 4 of us. 1 girl in on vacation in Switzerland on the other 2 are at a conference, so just me. I don't mind being on my own, but tomorrow, my little girl is having something at pre-school and I can't go because there's nobody to get the phone in the office. Really peeves me, because I wanted to be able to attend.

Fact: I work in adoption right now, but I would like to find a job that would enable me to work from home.

morning, that's called OCD! LOL! And, I have to admit, I'm the same exact way! I kid you not, when I got back home from my trip, I noticed my coffee table was not in the EXACT spot. I'm talking 1/2 inch here! Everything has to be where it's "supposed" to be or I'm "uncomfortable". Not spastic or anything, but I feel like something's "not done". Too much alone time! LOL! FINS - I'm afraid of you now!

Fact: I work in a very small office right down the road from where I live. We don't even get lunch breaks. We eat at our desks. LOL! But we goof off enough to make up for it!

I didn't think I recognized you! Sorry! I'm so nosey I just can't stand it! Well, welcome! As you can see, there are soooo many nice, wonderful, caring people here. We all think of ourselves as family. And that's no lie. And, it's okay if your furniture doesn't match and looks "funky"! All of my furniture was given to me! LOL! After moving a million times after my divorce, I had two dogs, a computer, a TV, and my clothes. That was it! So many wonderful people came to my rescue and I have furniture now! It kind of sucked not having a bed for awhile! LOL!
