Well here we are again. Another week has flown by. My co workers are hoping that the phones slow down and they can continue their chatter about the weekend.
So whats in your weekend plan. I am hoping to get out early tomorrow and wade out into the bay, where I live, and catch something for Volleyballmoms thread, "Whats for Dinner." Blackened Redfish would be nice. It is going to be hot as a habenero here again so early is the key.
So my Frog Friday question is: What is everyone doing this weekend? I am jealous of you who live in the North with your foliage at its peak, or close to it, and all those apples and pumpkins.

Blackened Redfish! Sounds yummy! Good luck with the catch!

Well, they just opened up Apple Hill here in the California foothills which is a network of apple orchards that you can hed up to pick apples, pumpkins, and then feast on yummy pastries and cider. For me, apple cider donuts.

This weekend will be a tos sup...I am coming down with a slight cold that has been running through my office so if I feel ok, we are going up to Apple Hill. If not, stay home and rest :)

My weekend is going to consist of house and yard work. Ugh! Hubby is gone for 2 more weeks, so it's just the little diva-in-training and I.

It is going to be around 90F this weekend, so not looking forward to cutting the grass..... It's not supposed to be this hot in the Midwest in October! I guess I should shut-up and enjoy it, because it is Indiana after all, and could be snowing tomorrow since we have ever-changing weather.

I never thought of that reason though your right, we used park in that lot by caddys small world! we would either go there or further up the beach in the beach parking lot across from that small grocery store.. I forgot the name.. shoot.. there is a bank across the street too...

but never thought about the drinking on the beach.. I just did it anyway.. LOL! My husband is a where can I drink on what beach guy. He bases all beach experiences by if you can drink on them.. haha. like Cocoa bch, the sign by "Coconuts" tells you how many gallons of alcohol you can have on the beach !!!!!

I grew up in FL and moved to NC , then moved back to the Kiss/St Cloud area then moved back to NC.

It is just boring here. I miss just getting in the car and going somewhere in FL. here it is a 5 hour drive to beach. sucks .

oh yea I miss the sitting at the beach in January, up here we are freezing our rumps off.
That is another reason we moved back to NC. We could not afford to buy anything (not even a doll house) the prices were so inflated, and insurance was totally out of our league.

we came to the conclusion we couldnt afford to buy and we got tired of the "slumlords" and renting. I was pay twice the amount in rent down there for a dinky house on zero lot line, than our house payment and 11 acres of land was in NC.(which now I have neither anymore)

I am glad I got to move back to Fl , but I should have done it sooner, or never left at all. I then think I could have done it.

so ... one day , my dream is to move back to the gulf coast or keys (if their still around) and retire. oh yea, after I will the mega millions........LOL!!!!!

btw if you like a good rum runner, the best I have had was at the Pier on Cocoa Bch, the first place on the pier, Shuckers.
yum yum ...........

wont drink one anywhere else.(well notin NC)

I am renting with a view of upper Tampa Bay and the bayside bridge. It is beautiful here but I costs a lot. But not as much as the 2000.00 a month mortgage I had before I sold my house in NJ or the Jersey Shore Apt for 1500. That is one of the reasons we are thinking about moving. The pay is better in the DC Baltimore area and the cost of living is about the same as here.

yea see it was the opposite for us. Paying like 700 for a home and acreage, living on 22,000 a year.
So when I got a job in Orlando for 30,000 I thought heck yea..

then 1200 month rent, over an hour and half drive to go 32 miles to work each way, was killing me. I thought I had a raise with the yearly salary, no state taxes.. blah blah..
then the toll roads kicked in , the price of everything kicked in. I just had enough.

I plan on taking a well deserved vacation soon though.. maybe to Treasure Island for a few days, then down to Sanibel for a few days..

my aunt used to visit there all the time when we lived in Pompano Bch. it is a nice quiet beach.. love it.

Busy weekend. Going to move some more stuff to my MIL's. She's coming with her van to take our kitchen table to her house. Its really a small table, so we are going to sell it. Jim & I are never home at the same time for meals, so we just eat at the computer desk.

Then Sunday going to Wal-Mart with my mom. My mom takes FOREVER in Wal-Mart, but its fun. We are going to pick out stuff for our new bathroom. Maybe even go out to eat...

I????????m in the north (Ct.) and it????????s hot up here. I have the air on now and its 3:45am. This is not your typical New England Fall weather. The leaves are changing but we just don????????t have the vibrant colors this year because the temp. and no rain. They have gone from green to brown with very little of the reds and gold????????s. It has been so dry here that we have been without well water at our house for a month. Hauling water is no fun but I will be doing just that this weekend. The good news is that we had enough money to drill a new well and it should be hooked up by Tue. :sun:
I????????m just going spend time with my family and enjoy my 2 days off.

My weekend is busy as well - tons of housework and laundry to be done, more packing as I go through the house and find items we don't need immediately - into the boxes they go! I have a steadily growing stack of boxes in one corner of the living room, threatening to take over the entire room.

Older son spent the night with a friend last night, younger son is here with me, dog ingested massive quantities of unknown substance (probalby something outside) and spent the whole night coughing and gagging it up (yuk) and is back to his old self this morning, leaving me a lovely mess to clean up, daughter is coming to visit from VA next week for my parents' 50th anniversary party, which I have yet to purchase supplies for, I'm going to look at a rental house this afternoon....and I have a date on Sunday.

sinful...hmmm...don't think I own anything sinful anymore, fins! LOL You wear something fantastic - knock your sweetie's eyes right out! ;-)

Well, we went to look at the house...think it's a no-go. It needs quite a bit of repair, and the owner wants to keep it up for sale while we'd be renting it. I don't like that idea - they'd give us 30 days to move if it sold. When we move, it's going to be pretty much permanent - I don't want to do it again, and especially with only 30 days notice!! So we're back to square one again. Found another one for rent on the way home that I've already called on, and there are some other possibilities.

Fins - my "sinful" wear for my date tomorrow afternoon will probalby just be jeans and a shirt...maybe a low-cut shirt? LOL

SueBee - One day at a time. You never know where you are going to meet someone you click with..and who is anyone to say that meeting someone on line is strange. As long as you are having fun and I do not believe you to be the type who throws caution to the wind..and even so..if it works out you will have a fun story to tell. :D

Hope it went great SueBee!

Today was SUPER busy. Went to bed about 11:30pm last nite & woke up 6am (potty break!!). Then couldn't get back to sleep! Watched an episode of Psych & then 30 Rock. The cleaned the apartment. Jim packed up a lot of knick-knacks & the kitchen table (we never use it) & we took it to his moms. Then Jim unloaded the car, we went to lunch with his mom, came back. Had to run to the mall because my husband has freakishly large feet...size 12 double wide. Foot Locker had them in white, but hubby wanted black so we had to order them. Went food shopping, came home & had dinner. I'm pooped!

Tomorrow...Wal-Mart with mom to check out bathroom stuff.

actually, the date isn't until later today (Sunday)..the only time we could find to get together! He lives a couple of hours away and has kids that he sees every other weekend...so he's driving half way across the state to drop his kids off, then driving another hour to meet me for our date. I'll fill you all in when I get home tonight! ;-)
