Could someone PLEASE tell me what this company is zapping from our accounts under? I am looking for the name used when processing ACH debits and credits. It is OBVIOUSLY not Platinum, and since I too am in the process of filing my report with the Florida State Attorney's office regarding Ellis Crosby, I need to know what name I'm looking for on my statement so I can show the original loan and all payments. ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks again!

Hi Tabitha

Did you check your bank statement to see who is authorized for all the debits and credits relating to ACH?

I hope this will help you in getting some useful information.

Regards
Roxette

Ironically, they credited my account through SJM, however there were NEVER any debits or debit attempts on my account by their company, and yet I'm in collections with Ellis because of them!

The guy I talked to at Platinum ( The GREATEST person I've talked to so far!) Gave me dates that payments were debited but there is nothing on my statement. This guy was shocked when he heard that Ellis was practicing such unethical collection methods, and said he would get the info to his VP right away...I said I know you could give two shits about those of us in collections with your company, but the reputation of your collection agency could affect word of mouth when it comes to new customers at your company! I will give Platinum Services a little credit, after all, this guy helped me out even though my account was already sold to Ellis, normally they just transfer you to a recording which states your account has been turned over to a collection agency...yada yada yada, but I just called back and politely asked the guy to hear me out before he transfered me, and it proved helpful.
I was just hoping someone else had loaned through them and knew what they were debiting as...Thanks!

emaxcollectedge.com is a bogus site. There is nothing there when you go to it. Also they told me my loan was through BMG Consulting which is a insurance anf financial consulting company. I am also in Florida and buyer beware of these people. They will try to take your money from you for nothing. I also had nothing showing a debit or credit to my bank account from BMG Consulting which I will contact them in the morning to make them aware of this.

There actually is a site for collect edge, and there are people who answer the phone there. BMG probably debits your account under a processing company that processes their loans. They ended up with one of my accounts that I paid ellis for, but got rid of my account after I made proof of my payment.

Platinum B Services also know as E PayDay. PB will debit & credit your account under SJM.

Not in every situation is PB helpful. My mother had completely paid them for her loan in full, yet the continued to bill her monthly for service charges. PB told me "We bill the service fee until the person calls us to tell us they want to pay the principal loan off. We had thousands of customers and we aren't babysitters. Not our responsibility to cancel this."

My mother was zapped with the full loan repayment 30 days later. To date she was zapped with monthly fees totalling to $450 in addition to the original agreement upon payment amount. Since, PB has turned her account over to a third party collection agency. Beware of who you are doing business with. I am sorry, but all my research on Platinum B does not lead me to believe they are an "honest company." When PB was called to make them aware of the situation they refused to speak to me and told me to call the third party collector. They say they sold the note and no longer have any claim against my mother. Crazy stuff. Good luck everyone. I told my mom to count her blessing, they could have cleaned out her account.

There are folks at this company that are great to deal with. You have to pay very close attention to your loan docs, realize that you must state IN WRITING your desire to pay the loan in full and confirm that no further debits will be deducted from your account. I had a loan thru e-payday and they were really good to deal with. I paid in full one the first due date and have had no issues since. Pay attention to the loan docs and the instructions, follow up and you'll avoid any issue.

Guest,

That is such great advice. Wish you were around to tell my mother that. Sometimes I don't think she listens to advice I try to give her.

Guarantee you she didn't look at her loan documents at all, only to see that yes she was approved and when do I get my money.

Let this be a lesson for everyone. Pay attention to these loans, they are legally binding and you can easlily be taken advantage off by just not being informed. Read what you are agreeing to.

Guest, you gave the best advice for everyone to follow. Thanks again.

Thamks. I just paid off my last loan after an experience of my own with EC. I did not run into any abuse at all actually, but it was a huge wake up call for me and I borrowed from a freind and sold some personal items to pay them in full. I can't imagine ever feeling desperate enough to have to use these things again, but if I did it would be with a company that was responsive to my questions, like e-payday.

I have read all of your posts and I can empathize with you all. I got a loan from e - payday back in January 2004 for $250. I just traced them back to Platinum B today and now realize that they have been debiting $150 a month ($75 per pay period) for over a year and half. I contacted Platinum B and all they offered to do was stop debiting my account. We are talking about $3150 paid for a $250 loan. My bank can only contest $225 of that money and even that is not a lock for reimbursement. It looks like I will have to pursue a lawsuit via small claims court if I want my money back. If you are considering one of these loans, and trust me, I understand hard times call for extreme measures, please seek a different solution. The payoff (no pun intended) is just not worth it.

rabbitears,

I do agree with you. Payday loans seem to be very easy solution which they aren't in reality. But we realize this when it's already too late.

Sometimes financial hardship compels us to go for these payday loan and we are trapped. What could be the alternative solution, any idea?

Platinum B tops in the list of the worst collection agencies dealing with the consumers. They collect the phone numbers from anywhere and keep harassing people.

They use sleazy means by hiding themselves behind a personal mail box and regularly violate the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. They love to threaten people with actions that they will never possibly take. You should be very careful if they call you up because they try in every way to take personal information from you. They also target on the minors and try to intimidate people.

You should try to keep yourself away from such collection agencies otherwise it will be a complete waste of your time and money.

I have read all of the comments in this forum, and I can understand alot of the complaints and concerns that you all have.

First, for those of you dealing with Ellis, Crosby and Assoc., Ellis Crosby is an outside agency that did handle our collection accounts. We know that they are very aggressive, but we did not know they were going to be as unethical as they are. Platinum B Services is no longer using Ellis Crosby, however they still collect on all accounts sent to them before 09-01-05.

Second, all ACH debits and credits are sent to your accounts as SJM Marketing Corp. we are not Efast Advance or BMG.

Third, our contact information is as follows phone:1-866-722-2770 Email: info(at)platinumbservices.com Fax: 1-866-599-5161
Platinum B Services does, has, and will always care for and respect our customers. That being said, please understand that no company in history has been able to please everyone. We have paperwork that we must abide by. If anyone wants a copy of their original paperwork; call us and we can fax or email them to you. Understand that we can not help everyone with all issues, however we can do our best to make things right with you, our valued customers. Please refer to this forum when you call in and we will do everything in our power to help you.

Sincerely,

Josh Mitchem
Vice President
Platinum B Services

Josh,
Thank you for addressing these concerns. I have been a customer of your company through e-payday in the past and have experienced great customer service from the rep, Ben, I spoke to. I would recommend you folks highly, and I think it is admirable that you would come to this forum to reach out to your customers. And kudos to you for moving on to a company that will work with your customers to ensure repayment instead of threatening them.

I took a eloan for one company but got two out of it. I only got one set of loan papers the one that did what I was told to do. Your company keep taking money out of my account but I still didn't have a contact number. I went to my bank and they even tried to find out who was taking money but could not find anything out, so I put a stop to it think some one from you company would contact me. That never happen, This Crosby person told me that I have bank faurd charges on me and I had to pay $519 and some cents. I did this and now I am in collection for another $432 with another collection company. And all this for a $200 loan, and I paid $60 two times a month for I belive 3 or 4 months. I plan on calling the number you have posted here to find out what is up. Crosby told me $519 is all I would owe.

Hi Dan

It might be that Ellis Crosby is affiliated with SJM. So, if you are trying to contact SJM and finding the phone disconnected, Ellis Crosby might be on the run.

Be careful and keep a watch over your bank accounts. Anything suspicious can be done by SJM or Ellis Crosby.

Dan,

Involve your bank on this thing and get a written note from them about this fraudulent activity done. If you have this statement from the bank, you will be charged up to file a class action lawsuit.

Closing the account will only be a better deal at present. These people are crooks and you just can't trust them.

Dan

In that case, lodge your complaint at the nearest police station and send the affidavit to the FTC, BBB and the attorney general office in your area.

It's necessary to file a complaint so that the bureaus will be forced to take necessary actions. Hope there is justice for all.

Thank you Roxette, for all of your responces to my questions. What can the local P.D. do for me.? My bank is out of state. I have direct deposit of my SSI check on the 1st of every month. My bank name is, "Union Federal Bank" all of my banking business is done online. Because this company made a deposit into my account, my bank is telling me that I know who the comp. is so they won't stop anything from this comp. and they know this comp. is a payday loan comp. and my bank said to me, well you accepted the deposit from this comp. as well as the first debit with no questions so my bank is trying to make it look like I'm trying to get out of repaying the loan. I was FURIOUS with that responce from my bank.

Dan, I am shocked with the response given by your bank. Though you might be doing online banking, but you are sure to have a branch location of this account. Check the Union Federal Bank website in the internet and see the branches from where your account originates.

Hire an attorney in this matter so that you can save some unauthorized debits in the future. It's your right to put a stop payment on your account and you will pay the NSF fees for it. So, the bank should not make it look so difficult to you.

Also, lodge your complaints against them at the federal bureaus. The bank is showing the negligence for which you don't have to suffer.

They have been ripping me off for about 7 months. I can't find them eith. I may have gotten closer. Try oneclickcash.com. pretend you are a new customer and they will call you. That is what I am trying to do - we'll see if it works. I have a fax for them. It is 800-803-9136. This is the company I initially took out my advance for. It shows up on my Bank Statement as SJM Marketing- they must be one in the same. I am really at a loss of what to do.

Sjm is also platinum b and e-payday. go towww. e-payday.us for contact info. The only affiliation they have with Ellis is that they used to use them for collections but if you go through the platinum b threads in this forum you'll see that that is no longer.

That website doesn't work. - I still can't get anywhere with this. I'm on $450 taken out so far on an original 300 loan. they keep taking 90 every month. I put a dispute in on my bank - not sure if that will go anywhere yet though. The trouble is, you have to wait a full month to see if anything ever works - so far nothing has

Apology not accepted. Everyone that I have talked to regarding this fiasco is rude and obnoxious. I asked for the supervisor of one gentleman and he told me, "Why don't you supervise this dial tone." I would love for you to produce my original loan docs which you say I signed or I agreed to. Also, why have I been asked to pay over $650 on a $510 loan that I did not receive. You have my bank information and you have taken $720 from me.

If you're serious about sending my original loan docs, please do so. My fax number is 317-583-2045. I look forward to seeing these docs.
